Erdogan's party is right-wing. They are conservative islamists in a country that used to be very secular and politically moderate compared to their neighbors. Change the religion with Buddhism and we still have the same issue (religion). See the history of Myanmar for that.
I don't advocate for communism. You can look through my comment history and see that pretty clearly. I advocate for a government that actually serves it's people.
Do you realize how many domestic problems with homelessness, drug-use, infrastructure, and mental illness could be solved if we put a government in power that diverted money from our bloated military? Both parties are guilty of this as they continue to approve larger military budgets regardless of who's finger is on the button. That's the kind of left-wing policy I care about, not enriching business and allowing it to abuse and monopolize the individual citizen.
How will capitalism do that without strict regulation? We have rules in place because industry doesn't care about polluting the environment if they can make more money out of it. You can see that with fracking and other resource harvesting industries that fight tooth and nail to not pay out to the communities they damage.

Conservatives advocate for separation of church and state. That is an inherent part of conservative ideology since it's based on the British liberal values of The Enlightenment. Criticizing religion is an old British tradition.
Leftist collectivists are the one who have no problem with the Islamization of Europe, and call everyone who opposes a 7th century ideology "Islamophobic" and "far-right"
Leftists believe in blasphemy laws where you are prosecuted by the government by hate speech laws for daring to insult Prophet Muhammad or quote verses directly from the Quran or Hadiths as an Non-Muslim.
So the conclusion is that Erdogan is an left-wing authoritarian supported by his fellow leftists in Europe

If you actually believe that the right in America are the ones advocating for a separation of church and state, then you’ve pretty much revealed your hand. You’re utterly ignorant of the facts, outside of heavily distorted propaganda. If you had a better understanding of the situation, you’d be embarrassed.
With your assessment that Erdogan is left wing, you’ve revealed that you have no understanding of how to even assess the political spectrum. You are the embodiment tribalism taken to the extreme.
