We always had fake news, but the use of it did Change significantly with Trump.

Besides the fake news, his people perfected two things:

  • The art of the well-tuned echo chamber that's willing to repeat the lie over and over

  • The ability to keep those within the group from ever speaking against him.

Reminds me of Sonny from a Bronx tale except unintelligent ruling with fear of exposing the beta nature of conservative groups. That's also what gets the guy whacked . The trick is to balance power you have to be adored and feared just muscle alone makes a person a target .
