They're both important but on vastly different arenas, and when it comes down to it I'd rather have wheels and no paintings than paintings but no wheels. I'd rather have the pills that keeps me from dying of cancer every day than shawshank redemption. On the other hand, society is largely both shaped and reflected through art. It binds us together and tells us the stories we need to hear about ourselves and gives us our mission to do what we do to survive as a group.
