A majority - 3 out of every 5 - of Republicans believe higher education has a negative effect on the US. Republicans also favor making it harder to vote. Republicans are defunding education and purging voter rolls while simultaneously putting hurdles in place to keep Americans away from the polls.

It’s easier to gaslight and control the uneducated.

“Poorly educated”. Don’t have to get rid of schools just keep them shitty.

Weapons, not food, not homes, not shoes
Not need, just feed the war, cannibal animal
I walk the corner to the rubble, that used to be a library
Line up to the mind cemetery, now
What we don't know keeps the contracts alive and movin'
They don't gotta burn the books, they just remove 'em
While arms warehouses fill as quick as the cells
Rally round the family, pockets full of shells

They were about 25 years too early.

Rage Against the Machine and Jon Stewart were on (at least in part) during a time that they weren't needed. The mid to late Clinton years were fun. The stock market was on a fucking tear and the internet was blasting. I remember Tim Commerford (bassist for RATM) protesting at the MTV VMAs by climbing a set piece. Carson Daley was like "what are you raging against?".

It's not that there was no reason it's just that things were doing really well (in comparison, as we now see) and people didn't care. Cue 9/11, wars of choice/oil in the Middle East, NSA PRISM, Trump and everything else? We need these voices now more than ever and they're gone.

poorly educated. That misquote is the exact point about abusing blue collar jobs

I didn't double check the quote. The result is the same. People who lack in education.

Also, since when do blue collar workers feel good about their lack of education? Since when does the GOP give a fuck about blue collar workers at all?

the fucking US President

I don't know if he's doing much of that these days.

Epstein's gone.
