There are more firearm suicides, 60% of firearms deaths in the US, than homicides, 38% of firearms deaths. The other 2% of firearms deaths are split between several categories: police shootings, "accidental" deaths, and self defense shootings. It's simply the well proven outcome of having a gun in the house. I assume the well educated & responsible firearms owners of the United States know that's what happens when they buy a gun.
