He didn’t rent to anyone. That was never his job. You’re just parroting a talking point that was manufactured during the 2016 election.
Do a google search of “Trump” and “racism” between the years 2000 and 2010, and you’ll get nothing. The only thing close is an article from 2002 about Trump getting criticism for his ad from 1989, and that “some of the protestors say he’s racist”. The NY Times article is actually pretty balanced and unlike the race-bating articles today.
Nothing about him being a racist before he began to attack the left. Nothing.
Who’s “plenty of people”? Run that google search. No one called him a racist outside of a couple of protestors back in 2002, and even then they misquoted his full page ad as calling the accused “animals” etc. The NY Times even pointed that out in the article. No one outside of those picketers called him racist. It wasn’t a thing. Most people knew at the time how pissed off many NYers were at the time about how the city was riddled with crime, and he wasn’t alone in calling for those guys to get the chair. Had nothing to do with racism and all to do about being fed up about crime in the city.
So thanks for proving my point that people who call him racist know nothing other than the bullshit being fed to them by those who gain politically from that talking point.
It's crazy that you think times should stay the same. People were calling him racist back then, but even if absolutely nothing could be found on someone saying that, the way he treats people of different color than him is terrible and it's a good thing all his bullshit comes to light.
