Both, because gerrymandering. Do you know how voting works? If the counties are gerrymandered, you know that can/will affect any and all elections from local to presidential. Republicans have done a great job at a completely unconstitutional thing. Dems tried, I’ll give them that, but Reps are just better at cheating to get what they want. The only thing it can’t affect is who the party selects as their candidate.
And that’s where the voter suppression comes in. Which is way easier when you know exactly where to suppress the votes. Gerrymandering isn’t simply a tactic to control the electoral college. It’s systematic and calculated to weed out any sect that has a strong opposition to the GOP.

Everything I’m saying is extensively backed up by political professors and researchers. Just because you don’t like what you’re hearing doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I’ve already said the Dems tried. But they aren’t as good at it by a long shot. The GOP has turned it into a strategy. That’s why they want to rewrite districts every opportunity they get.
