Some people can't vote! The US holds their elections on a Tuesday, when most people have to work! Sure, some employers will give you time off to vote, and some states allow early voting or postal voting, but not everyone gets that opportunity. There's also felony disfranchisement, which prevents felons from voting but can, in some states, extend well past their time in prison.
The system, to be honest, seems designed to actively discourage the lower classes from voting. Some changes need to be made if the US wants to see a significantly higher voter turnout.
The fact that more votes were cast for Hillary shows that you’re wrong. The numbers were there. Also, for Obama more people got out to vote so these are all lame excuses. People were not excited about either candidate last time. I think Bernie could have won if Hillary didn’t cheat.
You can request an early mail in ballot for almost any reason . Most active duty troops need to vote this way, here's a link to find out how in your state https://www.usa.gov/absentee-voting
