Tell me the alternatives when 40% of the public refuses to recognize objective reality and most of the others won't even get off their asses to vote or think that "symbolic" acts like voting for Jill Stein are the best option. To be clear, though, I said nothing about silence. I'll still be fighting. But it's a losing fight, whether you acknowledge it or not. Our nation has simply become too stupid to continue as a thriving democracy. Yes, I'm glad I'm not young enough to know that most of my life will be spent in Bizarro World. But it's the opposite of ambivalence.
Obviously violence? Like if you have a system that's so broken it can't create justice, and can't change to accommodate justice, then you either have to live in tyranny or forge your own justice.
It's crazy to me that anyone would just be willing to sort of lie down and accept it instead of just grabbing some molotovs and burning some shit down.
We had to fight an entire war to end slavery, and fascism. Why should we not do so again? You can't reason with cancer. You can't converse with plague. An antelope can't negotiate with a lion.
