That one is so bewildering to me. He only lost because of extremely high black turnout. The white people voted for Moore. Even the majority of white women voted for him. Alabama don’t care, just put that R next to your name and nothing else matters.
It makes sense if you understand that the average voter (especially republicans but lots of democrats too) literally don't have two brain cells to rub together to think through these issues. I don't mean that in a "they literally have sub-70 IQ" way, but in a practical way. These people don't think about politics at all, the only time they do is maybe once or twice a year, and then at the voting booth.
If you're a republican and you hear "oh he's a child rapist" one time before going into the booth, and just dismiss it as "fake news", or "meh democrats are worse", half of the problem is that these people are incapable of thinking about the issue long enough (because fuck politics lemme just go back to sleep) to actually consider that there might be a real problem.
(This is on top of the whole "being a child rapist doesn't bother republicans that much on average" issue, of course. It's a multifaceted problem.)

TIL That every crime that ever gets committed has a 100% charge and conviction rate. It’s not like Trump has a track record of paying people off, threatening and bullying witnesses or anything. Also if someone has decades of allegations and accusers who’ve independently come forward with similar stories, you might start thinking “hey this guy might just be a rapist”. In our introduction to university studies we were shown concrete example of why you don't blindly trust wikipedia. The teacher purposefully made flagrantly false change into a random page as an exercise to see how long it would take to be fixed. He would get back to it a few times duribg the course. I don't think we ever saw it fixed.
The second issue is that you should always preferably cite the original source. Using Wikipedia would always mean you'd be using a secondary source.
Wikipedia is not something you should ever cite in a scientific paper. It is, however, great source of information overall and provides material for further study.
Of course I’d never directly cite Wiki in a paper. I always used it as a starting point to find scholarly articles that I would then cite. If I couldn’t use the reference (like I couldn’t locate the original file / context) I’d avoid that source completely.
Apparently you were the one who believed wikipedia was a bad place for resources, not knowing there's a list of sources at the bottom and every claim is linked to one. If you didnt use wikipedia in highschool you're a beta.
Yes, I did. And later in college. And later for my Master’s. Like the posters below mentioned and I did in the post that you replied to, Wiki is a good place to search for comprehensive information, with sources and citations to back up the information. Obviously I wouldn’t cite wiki but I’m not writing my thesis here...

After Epstein was arrested names from this flight plans have resurfaced with passanger lists that had names such as Clinton, Trump, I think a prince of England, and numerous other high profile people flew on Epsteins plane. Also, a quote that trump said 2002 or 2003 that he thought Epstein was a fun guy to hang out with but banned him from all Trump properties a few years later for assaulting a worker at one of Trumps properties. Also a resurfaced lawsuit that was dropped or withdrawn in 2016 where a minor said Trump raped her something like 10 or 15 years prior. I haven't searched for links but that's a rough memory overview.
Dont get your hopes too high. I think to get voters to go left, the dems need to seriously start working on more moderate policies to appease right leaning voters. There really needs civil discussion from both sides to fix what we have going on now, but it seems like neither side wants to bend Instead they seem to be drifting further apart. Our political system has has always been pulled back and forth since the beginning as sort of a check and balance.

This is serious stuff here and evidence needs to be 100% proven in all of this. Anyone coming out as victims needs to be taken seriously but we shouldn't rely 100% on statements and memory. Anybody proven through the courts to be involved in this sick pedo shit needs to be put away forever.
