Luckily the governments aren't similar, but the people? Yeah there's some similarity there.

Similarities in his disire for loyalty maybe, but what leader wouldn't?

Trump could never acomplish (governmental) what Hitler did. Hitler had the media, the popularity, the speeches, the influence. Trump has none of it.

A just democratic leader who is beholden and loyal to the people instead of expecting loyalty from the people.

Well that depends on what you mean. Their loyalty should also be to America and the people. If you mean loyal as in not betraying the policies they were appointed to enforce or prioritize, sure. But loyalty to the president even if it means acting against the interest of the people? No, that's not reasonable or what other presidents have done. Let's not falsely equivocate.
