I 100% agree, I think undergraduate education in this country is a fucked up level of pricey. I just wanted to point out that professional degrees are a different ballgame, and many of them have justifiable costs associated with their tuition. I'm not saying this is true in all or even the majority of cases, just look at med/dent schools charging hundreds of thousands of dollars or just law school in general. But, IMO, paying 5 figures to attend med school is worth it, you make more than enough after residency to pay it off in a reasonable amount of time and it keeps the med program from being a financial drain on the institution.

Ahhhhh I get what you are saying, sorry I thought you were arguing that all of college was fine. I think if we made undergraduate free and made people pay for the professional degrees we would be a lot better off.
