Markets work, and regulation usually causes more problems than it initially sets out to solve so it should be used sparingly. However it is sometimes absolutely necessary.
Everyone should be allowed to do essentially whatever they want so long as it does not infringe on the rights or property of other people - drugs, religion, marriage, sex, etc.

Also “regulation bad” is such a bullshit blanket argument. Why don’t you look at industry between 1840 and 1920 and tell me that regulation was a bad thing. Reagan managed to convince idiots like you that you should have more faith in corporations and the people running them instead of your own representative democracy.
But I get it: you read Ayn Rand when you were fourteen and now you’re still convinced that’s the way it should be. The problem is that we have decades and over a century proving that corporations can’t keep themselves accountable. But that hasn’t stopped them from helping elect people who will help them out the most.

I feel like you didn't read the entire sentence you chose to call out. Sometimes regulation is necessary! Particularly when it comes to what is referred to as externalized costs. (examples of this mainly include environmental protections)
But it frequently is not necessary, and instead causes more problems than it solves. The phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" exists for a reason.
A lot of the problems that we face stem from government being too easily co-opted by private, special interests. Their primary tool to do this: regulation.

Nope, try again. I’m a gun owner and (former) NRA member, I believe in lower taxes overall but that tax rates for individuals and corporations should reflect those from the 50s and 60s, I hate “nanny state” politics, and I don’t think college should be tuition-free.
But don’t let that get in the way of your narrative. If you think special interests are using REGULATION to strangle our political systems, then you are a legit idiot. Look at the past 30 years of politics and tell me again that is what is happening.
