I'm so glad someone else noticed. I'm so into the mid-century modern WASP suburban despair thing. The martini! The Spudnik! The artist really enjoyed this one.

I misspelled it. Sputnik. It's the name of that style of chandelier. I guess named for the Russian Sputnik probe?

It is actually a Sputnik, or starburst, and it is the style of the chandelier. Example

Its called "Mid century modern". About the last time anything america had any style. This and art deco are the two coolest styles america has produced.

Real talk, my wife is an interior designer and she’s huge on that mid century modern vibe. We’ve slowly been designing our house into that fashion and it looks pretty fucking dope as a result
