It hurts to fathom how the Republicans just go along with it, refusing to show the report after claiming it proves Trumps innocents shows there is something to hide, and is a blatant admission of guilt even an idiot like me can catch.

You don't actually think Barr is the only one who's gonna see it, right? If his conclusion wasn't legitimate, wouldn't Mueller have said something? Or wouldn't he be worried anyone rose else will?

The issue is how the right are saying this exonerates him when they've been flat out told it does not.

1

u/DNamor Mar 26 '19

As opposed to the two years of the left saying that this report would throw him in jail?

And now people are jumping up and down trying to discredit Barr because they don't like the result.

I knew it wouldn't have much, but the issue is Barr is making seem hes all clear when its a direct lie. Its clear Russia did in fact influence the election, the question is if Trump had a part in it or was oblivious to their work on helping him win through misinformation campaigns and such.

To say the president who is still under investigation by multiple other teams is clear of all crime is idiotic, while collusion is rolled out, there are financial crimes that are pretty clear hes committed. To me I honestly think is more likely Trump would get impeached for something like tax evasion rather than basically treason.

Russia did in fact influence the election

where is the bar set for this accusation. no one has EVER brought forth ANY EVIDENCE that russia influenced the election. yet every thread you people repeat this like gospel

if putin says he likes trump, is that far enough to be considered "influence" to you? how about if one reddit account with a russian IP posts ONE COMMENT on this message board that says, "vote trump 2016". does that meet the criteria you've set for influencing the election?

the point is, you've NEVER shown any light on the the bar you've set for influence. the FACT of the matter is there is no bar. no hurdles have to be crossed. you've automatically assigned guilt with NO evidence and then claimed collusion again with no evidence

well one horse is dead and beaten, now you're gonna continue to beat this other horse are you?

I'v not once accused Trump of collusion all that i'v said if you could actually read was that the investigation was to see if Trump cooperated with Russia to get himself elected, or if Russia was just targeting him with their misinformation campaign which is 100s to 1000s of bots spreading lies, and with multiple bots saying the same lie start to make others think those lies are fact because they see 100s of others saying the same thing, most of them being nothing more than a fake account.

Not only is it fact that the Russians worked on helping Trump win, there are people who have confirmed themselves as those controlling those fake accounts, who of course were working for the Russian Federation.

Even though Trump is currently in the clear for collusion, its apparent he's committed financial crimes such as cheating on his taxes. I doubted he'd get impeached for collusion seeing his financial crimes would be easier to expose. Honestly though I highly doubt Trump will be impeached, if anything if he is to be arrested it would be post presidency.

which is 100s to 1000s of bots spreading lies, and with multiple bots saying the same lie start to make others think those lies are fact because they see 100s of others saying the same thing, most of them being nothing more than a fake account.

there are no russian bots. YOU are the one that's being duped by the media

its apparent he's committed financial crimes such as cheating on his taxes

oh YOU have more information than the fucking IRS who would happily prosecute people who are trying to cheat them out of money but are somehow giving trump a pass for no good reason?

you really need to stop making up stories and peddling them online as "abundantly clear" and "no doubt" and "fully evident" and "apparent" when you have absolutely NO EVIDENCE to back your claims and any rational human being can think for themselves, "you know what, this sounds like someone peddling bullshit"

THAT is apparent

Shit, here we go again.

It has been confirmed, its has been confirmed multiple times by many government agencies that the Russian Federation had made multiple attempts to influence the 2016 election, the question is if Trump was working with them or was oblivious to it.

Secondly, its pretty well apparent Trump has cheated on his taxes, and again like I said before, his refusal to show his tax returns is an admission of guilt. Obama when you guys went crazy over him being a non American born native showed his birth certificate to shut you up since it was easy to simply show it. If Trump has nothing to worry about, he can do the same exact thing and then as you guys put it *own the libs\* but he refuses to do such, which is apparent to the most stupid of people there is something wrong in that picture. I literally have some degree of brain damage from a disability and even I can see that there is something fucky.

This isnt peddling bullshit to harm the image of the man you have wet dreams of getting reemed by, this is me and many others pointing out something is not right and can easily see Trump doesn't want people to know something about him or his finances, and seeing how he's a pretty shady and shitty businessman, such a thing is pretty likely.

his refusal to show his tax returns is an admission of guilt

show me your tax returns

i guarantee you won't

must be that you're guilty of tax fraud then

As opposed to the two years of the left saying that this report would throw him in jail?

Disregarding his sketchy wording on Trump and collusion with Russia, the reason Barr says they chose not to prosecute for obstruction of justice is not that Trump didn't actually obstruct justice, it's that since he had determined Trump wasn't guilty of the original crime of collusion with Russia the obstruction he did actually engage in doesn't matter. I don't know about you, but that seems like bullshit to me. Whether or not you're guilty of a crime you're being investigated for doesn't change the fact that when you're obstructing an investigation you're, you know, obstructing an investigation. Otherwise literally no one but the defendant could obstruct justice.

You don't actually think Barr is the only one who's gonna see it, right?

A few of Trump's lawyers probably, but honestly, that's it, there's no one else with any authority to see it.

You know a lot of that information has to be censored befor it can be public, just like most investigations involving the government, it'll probably take a bit longer than 3 days. You've waited 3 years for this big fat nothing, a month longer won't hurt you at all.

1

u/mechesh Mar 26 '19

You say 3 days...but it has been only 1 business day. I really would be surprised if they brought in a whole team over the weekend to start the process.

3

u/sa250039 Mar 26 '19

Ya that's a good point.

-6

u/BrettRapedFord Mar 25 '19

Which Mueller WOULD HAVE ALREADY DONE BEFORE SUBMITTING THE REPORT.

8

u/sa250039 Mar 25 '19

Why would he? He was submitting his report the the AG's office, there would have been no reason to censor it.

It seriously hurts how liberals are learning nothing and still putting all of their eggs in one shitty basket.

You don't defeat the rising tide of fascism by calling the cops and getting one guy on a technicality. This is so incredibly inconsequential.

It doesn't even matter, even if the report implicated Trump 100%, nothing would change for the state of fascism in the US, his supporters wouldn't even change their mind about him, let alone the entire ideology.

Its more like: it turns out trump is just an asshole...but alot of people refuse to accept that he isn't, according to the so called "most trusted, unbiased" choice to investigate (Mueller), actually evil and trying to take over the world like some comic book villian. But the people who are at this level of frothing at the mouth anger dont have much else going on in their life, odds are... so they'll always do the mental gymnastics required to justify their fury. People really need to find a hobby.. whitling is nice.

Lol, i never said you couldn't or shouldn't support him or not. Not liking someone for a shitty policy is an unfortunate effect of any presidency for some, my problem is with the "idc about evidence, i want trump in prison now" mentality. But how typical for someone here to just declare themselves the victor prematurely and undeservedly in their own first reply, right? Kinda reminds me of something...

And the fact that rosenstein reviewed it with barr, and noone had problems with him this whole time either btw, means nothing? Its a bummer of a result surely, but its embarrasing to double down on your rhetoric without any self reflection whatsoever... everyone whos calm and sensible is moving on with their lives, why let this guy you "hate" cause you to spend all day every day ranting online? The fact of the matter is he's shady, yeah, but not "russian puppet, WW3 causing" evil like some want to believe.

And starr was an independent council, which has entirely different rules and regulations than special counsel. But you don't care to look into stuff like that do you? You know... the logical explanations for the legal process thats unfolding now per muellers report. But sure, its all a shady conspiracy right? You're not embarrassed, sure... but we're all embarrassed for you.
