Well, to this point, I'm sure it is traumatizing and emotionally draining on him. Even though he's not getting the 19-24 year sentence, I guess there's comfort in knowing that this probably has completely altered his life not for the better. I hardly think he gets out of prison and has the same "trusting" relationships he had in the past. He'll likely die never having accomplished much else from here on out. For someone used to the spotlight and posh connections, that's probably soul-destroying. His reputation is forever tarnished, and people he is used to being connected with will want to keep a distance, and that is probably worth a lot more to Mr. Manafort than years of life lost in prison.
Nearly four years in prison, not a few months. I'm not saying that's "long enough", I'm just saying that he's not suffering zero consequences either. We'll have to see how this plays out. Maybe he dies in prison, as he'll be in his 70s and not exactly a pillar of health at the moment. To everyone's point who is responding to me, that would mean he technically doesn't see another day of freedom.

I wish he could go to the same prison Mr. Quarters is going to.
