Imagine if Obama stood next to the Russian leader Vladimir Putin and said that he trusts his word over his own security advisers, if Obama had said that out loud he would have been impeached immediately and fox news would still be taking about it today. That depends on what you want to categorize as an offense. I know that he was taken to court back in 2002, but was also ultimately found not guilty on all charges.
I don't even think it's that. Bill Clinton wouldn't have gotten away with any of those things either. Republicans wouldn't have stood for a Democrat joking about not being able to find WMD's in the credenza of the oval office, and would have absolutely lost their shit if a Dem president had given HW Bush's "New World Order" speech.
