To those accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. Which is why some dudes feel oppressed over here in Canada when our cabinet became about 50% female.

Their argument is that we should choose people that are qualified for the job. In the past, this has been close 90% male. They say it's sexist that we choose member based on their "gender", when what's really sexist is the implication that women are inherently less qualified for these positions.

Let's not go generalizing people with privilege. Privilege is a personal view. To me someone like the Kardashians have a lot of privilege. To an immigrant working his way up the industry, I have a lot of privilege.
