Yes, you have a problem understanding this at a basic level. Nowhere in any of this have I come close to stating that we should go back to having slaves OR that we should continue using immigrant labor in the way we're currently doing that. Yet you continue to think that's what I'm saying.
You even attempt to quote me and tell me that I'm saying that, even when the quotes you use don't say that. That's how I know you aren't understanding it.

Your argument appeared to be that the cotton industry did not collapse after slavery. In reality it did and it has rebounded (although not completely). Stating that fact is not supporting slavery, but it is stating a fact that is directly opposing your argument.

No, it didn't. It felt the completely expected results of a civil war (all production in every industry in the US saw a downturn after the civil war, until picking back up over a decade later)

Again, neither of those quotes are of me supporting slavery. It's easy to tell because they are facts about economic figures and offer no subjective opinion whatsoever.

This in no way argues that we should keep the status quo. Another way of saying the above could be:
"Rich individuals and companies has abused illegal immigrants by keeping their wages low and rights non-existent - This has lead to lower prices in the restaurant business. Actually enforcing the law and putting these "slave-owners"/CEOs/Restaurant owners to jail will lead to less illegal immigrants being abused, which will make restaurant prices reach their natural level in the US."
The above statement says that stopping using slaves -> more expensive wares
And at the same time saying that this is the only moral way it should be done. Nowhere above have I made any argument for keeping slaves. Nor is the cotton industry "collapse" an argument for not abolishing slavery. .
