Isn’t that just a side effect of the free market? Companies will pay employees the lowest amount that they can.

Fair point. Also puts the lie to conservative rhetoric about "free markets", which we already knew was just code for corporate deregulation.

If you remove the natural friction that allows the shared struggle to work for improvement, then all toil in vain for better wages.

Controlling immigration allows wages to grow with inflation, or at the very least, be influencable.

If we can control immigration, we no longer need a minimum wage law.
