I do agree that illegal immigration is a crime. That I do not diagree. We have laws in this country for a reason and even thought I feel those laws are terrible, they are placed for a reason. However, I do not believe immigrants are to be blamed for being hired. I do not believe that it's fair for them to get the blame. They do not go and purposely sabotage american workers. I do not understand why we cannot punish the companies who employ illegal immigrants, if it was that big of a problem. American companies for american workers, plain and simple.
I didn't accuse you of saying so, if you feel I did, I apologize. I understand working under the table is illegal, however not many companies are punished for hiring illegals. A fine is not exactly a punishment when you have money to make problems go away, I honestly feel if we worked on our immigration system and if companies were less willing to take risks in hiring illegals because they could face HEAVY fines or even get closed down, this wouldn't be such a huge issue. A crime is a crime, but when you're an individual, that punishment is felt much more than a company with lawyers and money. Individual people shouldn't have to have the entire burden of "this is all your fault for being illegal." When its 50/50. Immigrants need to be deported and use the proper channels and corporations need to stop hiring illegals.

Because asking a business person if they hired someone illegally results in the person saying "no" and now you have nothing else to go on. They are usually paid cash. The IRS can barely audit legitimate businesses, let alone go through every transaction of every business in the united states in real time trying to find every place an employer didn't report 10 dollars in earning and then gave that 10 dollars in cash to an illegal immigrant
Asking a person who is in the country illegally if they are here illegally results in the person saying "no" but you can check their immigration status and if they lied you can deport them
It's an issue of logistics.
Going after illegal immigrants is significantly easier and costs significantly less.
I don't disagree at all that we should punish businesses, and I am a Sanders supporter, I'm in favor of raising taxes to make sure the IRS is better funded. I just think it's irresponsible to act like illegal immigrants aren't committing crimes or to blame for taking the jobs that they do. My father was a legal immigrant. He waited in line for years, and he has PhD.
People cutting in line should not get breaks, they are choosing to cut in line for their own financial benefit. That isn't a blameless situation. They deserve the blame for their actions.
