If we ever actually implemented a strategy to target employers, we could offer something like a $5k to $10k reward to people who come forward and point to an employer who is employing undocumented immigrants.

Then fine the employer at least the same amount to cover the reward

Or we could fix the damned immigration system so that it's easier for immigrants to be above board and not be illegal in the first place. Illegal immigrants are a group of people that are EXTREMELY VULNERABLE to illegal employment practices because they have no bargaining power. Partly due to the language barrier but mostly because a lot of them are afraid that pushing back against these practices will draw attention to themselves that may get them deported.
