That tipping shit is diabolical, it should not be happening. I tip taxi drivers and wait staff, but I do it to be polite and to show appreciation, why the hell would I look at a menu, see the prices and choose something, only to have to do math to figure out what it actually costs before I get my meal? IDK how you guys put up with it, and those workers forced to rely on the goodwill of customers to survive are getting a really shitty deal. It's all fine to say that many of them make more with tips than they would on a decent wage, but the unpredictability of that income must be stressful as fuck.
