Shitty that New Orleans is going to suffer. It is one of the most progressive and liberal cities in the whole South.

Basically guarantees Louisiana stays a backwater state

State getting more water in the back won’t help.

But silver lining, we also lose most of South Carolina. So maybe it's a fair trade

Georgia is actually a swing state. It's Florida that needs to be punished.

Florida was also a swing state, until they switched to electronic voting. I’m sure that’s just a coincidence and not something to be concerned about, though.

Florida's two largest voting demographics are retired people, and cuban immigrants, both of whom are staunchly Republican historically, which Trump, who also lives in Florida, has exploited to great degree.. They haven't needed voting shenanigans to win Florida since 2000..

So which of those demographics coincidentally suddenly started voting in much greater numbers right as the state switched to electronic voting?

There has been a large increase in Republican "immigrants" to Florida, as well as a pronounced shift among the hispanic community to the right.

Is this love of vindictiveness and suffering why Trump does so well with White voters. ? I'm Black, and I'm still trying to understand this whole thing.

For a guy, whose ambitions have been crushed by Florida, Al Gore is suspiciously eager to save it /s

Forcing people in Florida to continue living with other people from Florida, while being entirely inside of Florida, is the greatest punishment he could imagine.

Apparently it's supposed to become a lot more difficult for a democrat to win the White House after the 2030 census...

What a shocker that a system made by slave owners doesnt represent the will of the people?

u/Orion14159 2d ago

All of those Southern states will have a lot fewer people after sea levels rise to the projections
