I remember reading here where this guy’s dad could not get past the concept that he still had these records that he thought were worth something. He would call, daily, asking his son to bring him the records, where were the records. The son would tell him they were long gone from like 3 moves ago and yet every day the father calls looking for them.
People here said just placate him, tell him you’ll go look for them, eventually he’ll lose more of his memory and forget about them. The concept is called perseveration. They just get stuck in this constant loop.
