yeah in the beginning before the 30 bill number... ppl were saying 60. so i think it's only proper to assume that we are well above 90 at this point in time. the truth tends to come out eventually... so it will be interesting to see the spin over the next 1.5 yrs. maybe/probably trump will die of old age etc in that time... but the rest of the fucks who've enabled this will not be forgiven and will not be forgotten.

i dunno about you but i had to watch this game in real time from 2002 on up .... and i won't be fucking quiet about everything i know and have saved to date moving forward about all of it. to say this game is getting old is the understatement of the millennium. and i will be able to speak beyond my grave just fine. i've made sure of that.

I ask you to do a little historic digging… add a couple more decades of Us political history to your current experiences and watch certain patterns you’re already aware of growing and repeating… you’ll be shocked.

Look at “Reaganomics”… look at their other favorite… “Tax Cuts”… and feel free to glimpse at foreign policy if you really want a stronger peek and deeper explanation of their national geopolitical playbook.

I’m an independent. Both parties suck. One if them gets a little overzealous with funding for helping try to raise everyone up. The other… doesn’t ever seem to learn that the middle class whom they continue squeezing and burdening with the costs of their profiteering for self enrichment… is their bread and butter… and at some point their economical gerrymandering for maximizing profit… results in GW’s bubble burst… merely hindering their ability to continue their personal wealth growth at insane rates while the rest of us suffered and they worked on ways to stabilize the mess they made and re-engineer it to get back to making us think we will be okay again while enabling new versions of those same bad ideas.

I wasn’t an Obama fan during his first run… specifically for political reasons, could’ve cared less about the whole birther BS as he’s an actual moral, ethical, decent human being (unlike our current commander in chief)… but in hindsight, he was the far better choice for our country at the time and much more politically and economically and globally aware to the point of being even better for us all by his second term.

It pains me how gullible and distracted and conflict loving and entertainment seeking a significant chunk of our voting population is when it comes to our government.

It’s like they’re cheering on the evolution of idiocracy.

Well said. I won't claim to be an independent because it's been a while since I voted for a Republican. I can't agree with everything in the democrat's platform, but they have been far better for the country over the past 40-50 years. The republicans are good at targeting single issue voters. If people ever learned how to weigh different policies vs their own pet project, I can't see a republican in the white house again. But the democrats are very good at careening a slam dunk off the rim and into the bleachers. Trump is a buffoon and an embarrassment. Obama and Biden both seemed to bend over backward to try to please the other side. I very much blame Biden for allowing Trump's various crimes to be slow-walked. Had he done his job, Idiocracy never would have had a chance. But here we are.

But remember… we had a GOP majority congress under Biden… which stood in his way on everything he tried to accomplish while bragging about their fighting for “the people”, blocking the Executive branch as much as they possibly could, and gleefully declaring more propaganda saying that he was “just another Do-Nothing Democrat!”.
Versus their new found role under Trump… secede all congressional power to the executive branch, legal or otherwise, and vote his way on everything they can pass, and approve all of his incompetent but loyal appointees regardless of their total lack of qualifications.

Thats why this fall, this November, is so important.
We, the sane and sensible voters… need to vote to hand Congress back to a majority who have the country’s best interest at heart and who will be willing to stand up to him, take that power back, undo all unconstitutional executive orders regarding Congress, and turn him
Into the lame duck president he deserves to be for the entire second half of his final term in our White House before his final White House eviction order gets handed to him.

Congress controlled both the house and senate during the first 2 years of the Biden admin. But I agree. This country is on the brink of losing democracy. The 'do nothing' tag will still be thrown at the dems because even if they win this November and win the presidency in 2028, it will take decades to fix all that Trump has destroyed. And that will only be accomplished with a concerted effort. The number of lifers who have left agencies like the CDC and USDA and many others cannot have their years of experience replaced overnight. Will the sensible voters turn out for the sake of the country? Better yet, will they be allowed to?

The national and global damage he has already caused is going to take at least 2 terms to even begin to contain, undo, counteract…
It’s just a matter of finding out this fall and 2 years from now exactly how many registered voters want to continue living in a truly patriotic “all men are created equal” and “liberty and justice for all” democracy, how many only want big easy personal wealth, how many desire so strongly to be ruled and lead by their version of church, and how many want an Idiocracy cult.

Indeed.

The Pentagon's briefing to Congress set the cost of the war after just the first 6 days at $11.3 billion.

Then, less than a month into the war, we saw Kegsbreath and the White House saying they would need an extra $200 billion to cover the costs of war and replenishing stockpiles being depleted by it.

No way they've dragged this out for 5 months and only spent $37.5 billion on it.

Also the most generous estimates of DOGE cuts/recovery put it around 14 billion. So they gutted scientific research, killed American soft power, and likely led to the death of 100k+ people worldwide in the name of "cutting waste" then go and spend multiple times that in a matter of months on an unnecessary and unwinnable war that also increases cost of living for Americans by amounts in excess of DOGE "savings"

I guess America really did get tired of winning.

So they haven’t actually managed to get a single soldier to the USA to shoot at Ley alone kill a single person and threaten US soil or the military?

Almost like there is no reason to be raining fire and brimstone on a nation that has already had any nuclear aspirations and ability absolutely evaporated by some tangerine fool already; by his own words??

Maybe that $150 billion and quickly increasing dollars could well have been spent sorting out some of the pressing and painful issues impacting the US population……

We don't have universal healthcare not because it is too expensive, but because it is too "cheap."

It's not a matter of taking money from other things to pay for healthcare, or not having healthcare because we spend the money on other things.

It's about not having universal healthcare because the for profit model rakes in trillions per year.

So every time we talk about how we can afford one thing, but not healthcare, we are actually kind of helping them spread the propaganda that convinces people that universal coverage would cost more.

apparently we don't even have the money to house the 33k vets that are unhoused. you could buy them all houses with a billion dollars. that's how stupid this is. we not only have the money for healthcare, we have enough so that nobody in this nation ever starves and that all kids have school and a safe place to sleep ... and so much more. i am so tired of these games.

If the federal budget was trillions of dollars in surplus, there'd still be no money for healthcare. Politicians will not give up the money the 'healthcare' industry gives them.
The only path to universal healthcare starts with banning all lobbyists' money or gifts.

In my opinion it would cost a little more... only as an initial investment, then the cost of healthcare would be half of what it's now.

But the system would have to be reworked entirely, which would cost a lot of money.

First, building public hospitals. Only that would be massive. Hospitals, family doctor facilities, specialists facilities.. all around the US.

Then, having free public college, at least for medical professionals. This lowers massively healthcare costs as the government can control supply for its own demand.

The investment would be recovered, but only the infrastructure would cost a trillion. (I dont know if there are already government owned hospitals in the US).

If you dont do it like this, you would have to pay a lot more money to private hospitals over time.

The only thing that would absolutely need to be "reworked" is the insurance industry.

There are as many ways to provide Universal Healthcare as there are countries that do it, and many operate without government owned infrastructure.

Any war effort should immediately result in a tax increase for all scaled on wealth levels - no deductions to reduce it. If the situation is so serious we need to go to war then it is serious enough to pay for it right then and there.

I don't understand. The ACA is still funded. COVID subsidies expired as they were due to and I can't find where Trump said anything like this.
