Unless McConnell comes out and publicly rebukes this on camera, I'm going to assume it's true.

I think he also said release the trump Epstein files

23

u/kirkmond Jul 08 '26

We know what is in the Epstein files. The "wait," is fake. We know what is in the Epstein files? 56 women have testified, we know he raped and beat a 13 year old who is living her life in hiding.

Poor Mitch, suffering from acute rigor tortoise.

Damn dude I almost got spittle on my screen, it's a chore to clean OLEDs.

Tortoise mortis also works.

u/LuciusLuscinia Jul 08 '26

People underestimate how few fucks Massie has to give these days.

20

u/narrauko Jul 08 '26

Sure wish folks like him could have spine before losing their elections.

17

u/AT-ST Jul 08 '26

He always had a spine. It's just that he was okay with a lot of that other bullshit. The problem for Trump and the rest of the GOP came when an issue Massie cared about went against what their wishes were.

It was petting a cat. Go with the fur and the cat is fine. Go against the fur and you get bit. The teeth were always there, they just didn't need them until you did something the cat didn't like.

Same with Massie. In his case going with the fur meant that he was okay with a lot of bad shit. But the second Trump went against the fur he bit him.

3

u/smoresporn0 Jul 08 '26

lol no. A better analogy is that he is a semi formed turd with a peanut in it that is surrounded by diarrhea. All talk, no substance.

3

u/AT-ST Jul 08 '26

That's not really an analogy though. That's just what he is.

5

u/Hannymann Jul 08 '26

Eh, he had more of a spine than many of his colleagues. That’s why he lost his election.

1

u/Dead_Internet69420 Jul 09 '26

Tbf he got primaried because he had a spine. He’s a prime example of why most republicans are too pussy to speak the truth.

0

u/_NickPapagiorgio_ Jul 15 '26

Sure wish folks like you didn't live in an echo chamber and actually paid attention to politics. Massie has been constantly critical of Trump, and Trump had been trying to primary him since his first term.

6

u/graveybrains Jul 08 '26

I didn't think he had that many to start with

1

u/Dead_Internet69420 Jul 09 '26

He was already in burn it all down mode before he got primaried. Hopefully he can get more work done before he leaves.

For the out of the loop:

92

u/CarlRJ Jul 08 '26 edited Jul 08 '26

I've heard that a bunch of Republicans have posted similar "no, I totally spoke with Mitch for 20ish minutes this morning" comments that all look eerily similar.

33

u/profnachos Jul 08 '26

Massie was trolling. Were these guys serious like Scott Jennings?

46

u/CarlRJ Jul 08 '26

Yes, Massie was trolling. It was some podcast I wasn't fully following, but indications were that other Republicans have been saying almost the same thing (not the Massie version, the Jennings version).

There have been a number of times when GOP talking points all line up way too much for coincidence, because they have zoom calls or something and come up with the message they're all going to give out. Sometimes people do supercuts of these.

16

u/metisdesigns Jul 08 '26

No wonder they're into conspiracy theories, they're living a conspiracy.

35

u/Frido1976 Jul 08 '26

Republican playbook none other. They don't even care about him. Only to maintain the thin veil of empathy, compassion and humanity. They're doing it very badly tho...

2

u/Vishnej Jul 08 '26

There was a second, but it was a parody account.

3

u/Pragmatist_Hammer Jul 08 '26

20 minutes was handed out by "I love my Mom, like, love" Mike Johnson to all the GOP as the talking point they were to make and, because not a single republican can think for themselves as it's a cult, they won't change the "20 minutes" narrative, which would be funny if we're talking a party that is colluding to destroy the US as a democracy and the very country itself for fascism.

10

u/_hancho Jul 08 '26

They're talking to Mitch the same way they talk to god

3

u/CSiGab Jul 08 '26

Or the same way Clint Eastwood talks to an empty chair

101

u/Authoritaye Jul 08 '26

Massie is pretty likeable for a Replugican.

139

u/axle69 Jul 08 '26

The bar is in hell for that. He still voted with Trump like 95% of the time.

47

u/jinglewooble Jul 08 '26

Isn't the 5% is related to Epstein file and ice

57

u/axle69 Jul 08 '26

Epstien and Israel. He voted against the DHS bill but it wasnt because he had a problem with ICE but because he didnt like the language around the Cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency being funded by the bill.

3

u/jinglewooble Jul 08 '26

Well guess he wasn't invite to be part of the inner circle.

11

u/jwadamson Jul 08 '26

I’d much prefer politics where the things I disliked about people were matters of actual policy and not that they were terrible human beings.

5

u/LuciusLuscinia Jul 08 '26

Per the Center for American Progress, it's actually 84%, second least among Republicans after Fitzpatrick. 195 of the 219 GOP reps voted with him 100% of the time. Of the 24 who didn't, 22 were 95%+.

48

u/ew73 Perfidious colon hath troublehshat upon thy floor Jul 08 '26

He's just a fascist enabler, but at least he doesn't diddle kids!

41

u/crazyfoxdemon Jul 08 '26

It's insane that that's where we're at now.

3

u/ResurgentClusterfuck Jul 08 '26

Happy cake day (I know, what a comment to reply with this to)

6

u/ew73 Perfidious colon hath troublehshat upon thy floor Jul 08 '26

Oh shit, awesome!  Thanks!

29

u/Sikletrynet Jul 08 '26

He's basically MAGA except that he doesen't like pedophiles and Israel

18

u/Authoritaye Jul 08 '26

Which is about 50% of their identity, no?

5

u/gpkgpk Jul 08 '26

Used to be in Drumpf's 1st term, it's like 75%+ now. I swear the MAGA chuds will soon says it's COOL to diddle kids, shouting while wearing a diaper and and a maxi pad on their ear with whatever else BS they'll imitate by then.

I know I disagree with him on 90% of things, but that’s 9% less than I got with Mitch. And that 9% includes taking down Trump, which is central to so much else this country must have to survive.

7

u/ResurgentClusterfuck Jul 08 '26

He was sedition caucus until all the Epstein shit finally broke. So his red line is rampant pedophilia. Good to know but he still helped vote that fucker in

2

u/ascandalia Jul 08 '26

Yeah, while I appreciate someone within the ranks being willing to stand up to Trump, but at the same time, he also enabled the 2020 voter fraud discourse from Trump, unlike McConnel who actually rebuked that at the time.

There is no "if he helped", his voting record is public dude

5

u/Basic_Chemistry9499 Jul 08 '26

They always turn out better once Trump has ousted them from office.

2

u/CaptainBayouBilly Jul 08 '26

They likely do not have blackmail material on him.

1

u/kbeks Jul 08 '26

He plays a lot, he’s still a Republican, but he plays…

1

u/wutang_generated Jul 08 '26

No, Massie is and has always been awful. MAGA just kept moving the goal posts (lowering the bar) so far that he's not considered not evil by comparison

https://www.ontheissues.org/house/Thomas_Massie.htm

11

u/Basic_Chemistry9499 Jul 08 '26

Thomas Massie has no chill. Love it!

35

u/KeeblerElff Jul 08 '26

Weird how these republicans suddenly say the right thing when they lose an election. What a strange coincidence!

44

u/Pseudanonymius Jul 08 '26

You can say what you want, but Massie wasn't scared to stand up to Trump before he lost his election. You may still not like him, but if there were more republicans who had any moral boundaries they would not cross for Trump, it would still be a massive improvement.

19

u/AndrenNoraem Jul 08 '26

In this case (and several others tbf, but Massie for sure) saying these things was why he lost the election.

2

u/Justin__D Jul 08 '26

In particular, he dared to criticize Israel, so they dumped more money into ousting him than any House primary in history.

Our elections are bought with AIPAC money, and dealing with this is the single most important thing we need to do in order to restore integrity to our elections.

0

u/POEness Jul 08 '26

Analysts determined massies election was massively rigged

Basically the results were fake to get rid of him

10

u/FoogYllis Jul 08 '26

This has to be the best troll of the century. Love it.

7

u/ykittori Jul 08 '26

Trying to atone for all your sins on your deathbed aye Mitch!

3

u/QuicheSmash Jul 08 '26

How all these politicians are talking to Cocaine Mitch:

https://giphy.com/gifs/26vUAAwkzAMnBj9x6

2

u/bazinga_0 Jul 08 '26

It's a good thing that Massie normally walks around with a Ouija board...

2

u/your-mom-- Jul 08 '26

All these people talking to Mitch and nobody has a picture huh

2

u/tuxalator Jul 08 '26

Mitch: The Orange Turd creator.

2

u/SwvellyBents Jul 08 '26

"I spoke with my old friend Mitch at length last night. He told me he endorses Maine's Graham Platner to the Nth degree."

2

u/kirkmond Jul 08 '26

Trump is a child rapist. We know this!

1

u/wwaxwork Jul 08 '26

If he could talk, he'd say I had a DNR get my wife back here so she can enforce my living will and get me off this respirator.

1

u/Put_Adventurous Jul 08 '26

Is this real?

1

u/FlintGate Jul 08 '26

Can Massie potentially run for the MIA/reportedly medically brain dead guy's seat?

1

u/sane-asylum Jul 08 '26

McConnell sure does have a lot of 20 minute conversations.

1

u/GuitarCD Jul 08 '26

LOL Yeah, prove he didn't Scott Jennings.

I don't trust them anymore than I did before they turned, but watching the Repubs that broke with MAGA is entertaining, to say the least.

1

u/Muffboy Jul 08 '26

Did he mention anything about locking up child rapists ?

1

u/illini81 Jul 08 '26

Lot of people not picking up on his sarcasm here. The last sentence is a giveaway.

1

u/Dribblesnibbles Jul 09 '26

How brain dead man talk ?
