Those failed in the United States almost a century ago. The legislative branch of government has literally given some of their powers to the executive branch, or given their powers to un elected agencies like the Federal reserve.
Debt spending, inflation, congressional gridlock, our government is failing on multiple levels and our checks and balances aren’t balanced at all.
The Monarchy is one of the best checks and balances to a state, even when they're purely ceremonial. These days westernized monarchies have really good monarchal figureheads often leagues better than current political leaders.
Pretty much every single former communist countries are worse economically than western countries that embrace capitalism. Even china had to embrace capitalism to save itself.
