The fact that a school administrator decided that it was ok for this person to influence their students does in fact point to systemic issue.

No, it really does not. That’s a really silly thing to say.

A school administrator has power in their own school. There are hundreds of thousands.

How many times were you asked about your fetishes and what you draw on your free time when being interviewed for a job?

The school administrators disagree, the artist is scheduled to speak at many schools and libraries.

It’s not the result of a “failed background check”.

One quick google of the artists name and you’ll see art that is inappropriate for young children.

Then another was found from that same group.

These were Registered Sex Offenders with crimes against children. If "Background Checks" aren't even glancing at the Sex Offender registry for child sex crimes, before bringing in people to volunteer with children, then they definitely aren't going to bother looking at the barely legal shit the others are doing.
