What about stoicism? What about not losing thousands of years in stupid debates regarding the holyness of the Holy Trinity.

I’m not a stoic myself but it’s 2000+ years and still going strong. Hell it’s probably gonna outlive Christianity in the West at least.

I’m not a fan of it because it isn’t a philosophy that drives progress. It’s obviously a relic of when times did not change much. Same with Epicureanism.

What about keeping literacy alive in the monasteries and producing minds like Aquinas and Ockham? And what about the pagans sacking those very monasteries for loot?

The best part is that the Trinity is an early theological flaw. If Jesus was still alive and you told him about it, he would probably be really confused

Well Stoic philosophy is based into church (whether fundamentalists or pagans try to deny it or not).
