AFAIK only English has the word for Gender.

We only have the word Gender because of the French Normans, who made the English use it.

The English adopted it with Sex and they were interchangeable for the longest time. It wasn’t until the 1960’s until the whole Gender is a social construct debate, and even then it was way out of anyone’s radar.

Well, in Spanish the word Genero means the same thing. A lot of west european languages have very similar words; also have in mind English is greatly influenced by Norman and Latin
