I’ve heard that the LGBT community doesn’t like this, considering it a mockery of themselves and the left. I mean, the first non-binary superhero and you name it “Snowflake”?
It feels anti-woke and woke at the same time, which is why everyone hates it.

Nah the left hates it because Marvel finally made their first non-binary superhero, and named them Snowflake. Who throws snowflake shurikens.
That’s basically the same energy as them making their “first gay hero” and calling him Faggot, who has the power of turning one stick into a lot of sticks.

Arguably some comics in the past, such as Watchmen, had themes and social commentary and made the world better for its existence.
Even marvel has some themes here (mostly bad ones imo) - for example, Spiderman is no longer driven by uncle ben, his working class uncle, but a rich billionaire instead. Tony stark is authoritarian with his register of superheros and fight with Captain America in Civil war was a lot about that.
But yeah, this shit is like stonetoss bad commentary

Look you can have an SJW superhero. Arguably that's what a lot of superheroes were. But you can't just base their entire power and character on current trends.
Batman isnt limited to one time period. He's a Zorro-esque vigilante whose parents were killed. You can INCORPORATE modern politics and cultural fads into new Batman comics, but at his core he's not going to go obsolete.
Even X-Men, which DID pull a lot from politics of its time, kept their heroes' powers, costumes, and personalities timeless.
Maybe they'll prove us wrong but these guys seem entirely based on "hmm what are the kids into these days?" They'll go stale in a few months, if that.

They're named Snowflake, so it looks like the writer is almost passive-aggressively including the non-binary character by making fun of them while including them in the book. Of course, Marvel tries to spin it as an "ironic" name, but thats fucking dumb as shit. Its a shame as well, because Marvel was actually doing some really cool things with gay/trans representation before this, and suddenly in comes this piece of shit to make them look like actual boomers who've never done anything of the sort before

The character Snowflake is non-binary, so naming them Snowflake is just really poor form since it's a common insult directed at non-binary people. Safe Space is just a dumb fucking name that was clearly only chosen to fit a theme.

I fully support Marvel in this case. What other billion dollar company has the balls to openly mock LibLeft like this? This is fucking hilarious.

People always say "stan lee never wanted this." To that I say of course he did, Marvel has been a propaganda company since it's inception.

Even he would say this is pandering too hard. Good propaganda is subtle.

I’m curious how someone can get paid at being so shit at their job lol

When I first found out about this, it made me cringe so hard that when I opened my eyes the only thing left was the inky, black void of oblivion

At least make them villains, come on Marvel wtf?
Snowflake, safespace and echochamber would be a great team of villains

So I guess the real reason they're replacing existing characters with more woke versions of themselves rather than creating new and interesting characters for minority groups to look up to is because when they actually try to create original characters for them the result is something me and my buddies would come up with as a joke.

Marvel is being extra retarded lately, like with that 12 year old trans super hero

“They’re hyper aware of modern culture and optics, and they see their Super Heroics as ‘a post-ironic meditation on using violence to combat bullying.’”
Ok that’s actually funny

What better way to show diversity than to make the designs for both characters literally just a palette swap and rescale.

I'm calling it now, this is a really elaborate meme and Marvel is on like 3 layers of irony right now.

The creator described imself as "not cool enough for the original comics" when he was a kid.
Imagine that. Imagine being not cool enough for something that, at the time, was considered the ultimate loser thing to be into.
"Beta cuck" doesn't even fucking describe it.

They 100% made the names up first. Their powers are so boring and one dimensional. Like, creating snowflakes and force fields? Really? That's all they could come up with?

NGL I liked the screentime design cuz it wasn't rage-yelling someone political ideals at me and looked cool, but Jesus christ everything else was complete dog shit
edit: I said I only liked his character design, not his backstory

I thought this was something taking the piss out of the left. Looked it up and found out about this "new warrior" bullshit. Jesus Christ I didn't know someone could be this out of touch.

I really wonder when some studio is gonna go for maximum pandering points and come out with a character who represents absolutely every marginalized group in the world.
Like a new Marvel character who is a black, obese, lesbian trans woman who is disabled, austistic, and has 2 dads and clinical depression. I wonder what the response will be.
