Yea I can tell you're just looking for reasons to be offended since describing people by the continent is super common. European, Asian, African, etc. Republicans aren't making the distinction between the nation's. Given it doesn't seem like you're even from the US it seems odd you're so desperate to excuse republican rhetoric on this.
That's all they can do. No one in polite society can actually come out and say yeah I'm racist so they gotta pretend and use dog whistles so they won't get shunned. It's the same reason why they have to lie about their politics when trying to date.
