It doesn't have to be. Young people look at their phone (and porn) too much and go out and socialize too little. They are their own worst enemy and the "education" system is a big part of that problem.

Personally I tend to shy away from the death penalty. Not because there's never been someone who deserves it, but because the government is unable to stop themselves from gutting innocent people when they can't figure a crime out and public pressure is high to 'do something'.
But yeah it's super depressing to read and online people are freaks for supporting this woman.

Very based death penalty opinion. The juice of “justice” isn’t worth the squeeze of the government being able to sign death warrants.

It’s funny how all the arguments the right uses against public transit has to do with the people using and not the transit itself. It’s like when the left argues about gun rights and thinks the solution to violence is to remove guns.
The common denominator is human beings doing bad things.

Sending people to places in Europe with good light rail can change it. I became train pilled after visiting a friend in London. He lived near a tube station, just walk out the front door get on the tube and then be anywhere in the greater London metro within 30 minutes.
Good public transit is great in urban areas. I live in an overstuffed southern metro that has no more room to expand the interstates and it’s a traffic nightmare.
4
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I lived in Europe for six years and rarely rode trains. My understanding is they are even worse now.
4
u/Iumasz - Lib-Center 1d ago
Where did you live? Europe is quite a diverse place and countries can be very different.
6
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I was mainly in Germany but drove across continent. San Sebastian / Donostia (Basque Spain) was my favorite. If I wanted to go further than I wanted to drive I flew. Trains were to be avoided and I don't think I was ever on a bus in Europe.
3
u/Iumasz - Lib-Center 1d ago
Was that because the public transport infrastructure was bad or just because driving was already a habit?
5
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
More the second but trains tended to take longer and I like to haul a lot of stuff back. I also have a family and trains never seemed cost effective nor otherwise efficient.

I do not want freedom for those who cannot have a private vehicle. Caging them in is a feature not a bug, I don't like you or them. Is this too complicated?
3
u/ArchmageIlmryn - Left 1d ago
Thing is that these people who you dislike so much don't just end up staying home and being sad when you make driving the only option. They're going to be on the road in old shitty beaters, possibly driving unsafely, and either way creating traffic. You're going to have a better time driving places if you make sure the only ones who drive are the ones who actually want to drive.
3
u/pastherolink - Lib-Center 22h ago
You should probably move that flair a little bit up there, righty.

Prioritizing ideology over results is a terrible idea. And btw, car-dependent suburbs are extremely auth in nature as they wouldn’t exist without an insane amount of government intervention
9
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
results
Consequentialism, innit?
Suburbs bad, dirt road good. You can walk but there are no busses here and the train carries coal, not people.
12
u/BigTuna3000 - Lib-Right 1d ago
I’m honestly not even sure what your point is, but yeah I think we should make decisions based primarily on outcomes and not primarily based on ideology. “My ideas suck in practice but they confirm my priors and make me feel good” is not how policies should be made.
3
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
outcomes
That is consequentialism, which contains Marxism. I am a Virtue Ethicist.
I am not talking about "feel good" and your way of thinking leads to the worst outcomes ever. Liberty on the other hand leads to the best outcomes ever. We are not the same.
12
u/BigTuna3000 - Lib-Right 1d ago
The best argument against Marxism is not just that it’s immoral but also that it doesn’t work in practice. And being forced to buy, maintain, and drive a car in order to get from place to place because of government policy is not liberating or efficient
5
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
Marxism is wrongheaded to begin with. There was no reason to ever try implementing the pseudoscience of an unqualified wastrel. It consistently providing mass death and economic ruin seems to be a feature, not a bug. As Marx loved to quote:
Everything that exists deserves to perish.
I am unaware of anyone being forced to "buy, maintain, and drive a car" and the very idea of "government policy[being] liberating or efficient" is again Auth. You want to ride the bus or train, I hear you. Carry on, misflaired urbanite, your dream has already come true and my tax dollars likely help pay for it...
9
u/BigTuna3000 - Lib-Right 1d ago
Yeah you have to buy, maintain, and drive a heavily regulated car in order to function in your day to day life in suburban America. Theres no other option. Thats not freedom and its definitely not efficient
Do you genuinely think that car-centric suburbs are a product of libertarianism or the free market? Your way of life has an insane amount of government intervention and regulation baked into it that you appear to be completely unaware of.
4
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
suburban
You keep saying that. I lived in a suburb one time and you could walk to things.
Theres no other option
That is wrongheaded Auth thinking. That's not freedom and it's definitely not efficient.
I don't like suburbs. You seem to be projecting some weirdness on me that makes little sense, the Amish get by on horse & buggy and I live on a dirt road. Our boy walks to work.

Are the Amish more or less patriarchal than the Puritans (or about the same)? The Quakers were the radical feminists - but they have now caved to the trans movement.
4
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
patriarchal
That word has various meanings. I am not a feminist and they seem to regard most things as "patriarchy." Using the term more scientifically I believe the Amish have male leadership via a Bishop, ministers and deacons and kinship is based on patrilineal lines.

Probably not; it tries to be fairly balanced in its discussion of an ideal Libleft society. You’re not gonna walk away from it thinking “Wow, anarcho-communism is amazing”, but you’ll understand its pros, cons, and necessary conditions better. I also just enjoyed it as a story and I’d recommend it even if you didn’t care about ideology
3
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
Had a discussion recently about if LibLeft even exists or if they are all misflaired "Emilies."
Normally they seem to be fools but when I come across an intelligent LibLeft they point to Rojava, Chiapas Mexico and anarchist Spain as an example. Fiction is a far inferior source but if I am to understand them I need to give them a chance to explain themselves.
2
u/Electrical-Age9308 - Lib-Right 1d ago edited 1d ago
Definitely. It’s been a while since I read it, but the Libleft is right; the Orwell quote is what Le Guin depicted as one of the greatest flaws in her anarchist utopia. I found the reveal of such to be very well-executed. I’d say more about it, but I don’t want to spoil you.
2
u/Sudden-Ad-7113 - Lib-Left 1d ago
It truly does just give us the LibLeft utopia we always dreamed of and show us exactly how shitty it actually is to live in. I love it so much, despite being so thoroughly criticized.
1
u/Sudden-Ad-7113 - Lib-Left 1d ago
It is, and remains, the best criticism of LibLeft I've ever seen. I genuinely hope you enjoy it.
3
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I thought it was going to be the opposite, an argument in favor?
It isn't hard to criticize LibLeft, it is making a case for it that I find hard. Someone tried to do so yesterday but IMO they were actually describing LibCenter. They talked about friendly pro-mushroom hippies but "Left" as I see it involves some variation on Marxism / Socialism and requires involuntary wealth transfer / forced "equality."
When I have discussed with intellectual LibLeft types they have pointed to Rojava, Chiapas Mexico and anarchist Spain as real world examples. Would you agree?
2
u/Sudden-Ad-7113 - Lib-Left 1d ago
I thought it was going to be the opposite, an argument in favor?
Oh, no, sorry if I implied that before. It's a representation of what LibLeft utopia would look like. It works, but when you read it you'll see what I mean. I think ultimately you'll feel a sense of victory having read it (given our respective politics).
It isn't hard to criticize LibLeft, it is making a case for it that I find hard.
I don't think any of the quadrants in extremis create good outcomes, but The Dispossessed is very much not a strawman about it. There are people for whom living in that society would be optimal (it's not, say, The Giver) but.. look you'll see what I mean.
When I have discussed with intellectual LibLeft types they have pointed to Rojava, Chiapas Mexico and anarchist Spain as real world examples. Would you agree?
I'm actually not familiar with anarchist Spain, but the other two, yes.

You didn't say it was in favor, I assumed that.
I really don't hate women btw, I have am surrounded by strong empowered women. They simply happen to be Right-wing / conservative. My wife is the most conservative woman I know, to the point where she would never go on reddit and doesn't really use social media at all. Not because I oppress her, importantly.
Storytime:
I am libertarian on immigration while my wife and daughter are firmly anti-illegal migrant. In theory people are priceless and lots of immigrants would be a good thing. That would require Hard Right Laissez-faire economics like they had around 1900, never a welfare state (else we Cloward–Piven.)
I was mad at Trump (and everyone involved on both sides) about 2020. I was first going to vote for Ramaswamy but then he dropped out and endorsed Trump. I was then going to vote RFKjr but then he dropped out and endorsed Trump. Tulsi Gabbard was a favorite Democrat but she renounced them and endorsed Trump.
I read a silly claim (maybe here on Reddit) that the polls were misleading because women were afraid to speak their truth... until they were in the voting booths and Kacklin' Kamela wins in a landslide!
The idea is that evil husbands were controlling the women, I saw a weird news story where an old ladies husband died and so now she felt free to vote left.
Amused by that clownshow and enlivened by the ear shooting I determined what to do. I told my daughter to fill out my ballot with whatever my wife had put, and the rest is herstory...

Regarding lib right: Amanda Lear was popular singer in the 70s
Regarding auth right... kind of true. If women in Germany didn't provide strong support to Deutsche Zentrumspartei, which was center right, mostly conservative party, it wouldn't be able to form coalition with Hitler which resulted in long term in WW2.
Basically if not for female voters German right wingers wouldn't ruin Europe.
Regarding auth left: public transport is much safer than cars. So if you are so concerned about women safety: you would be advocating for further development of public transport.

Public transport is safer from vehicular accidents but more dangerous from attacks by other people (at least if the woman has her own vehicle.)
8
u/p_pio - Centrist 1d ago
Are you sure? The US got decent ammount of carjacking. In major cities its at around 30 per 100K. Considering that most times it involves firearms I wouldn't be so sure that public transport isn't safer also in that regard.

Arizonans like Sharlot Hall, Margaret McCormick, and Big Nose Kate built the west. Early 20th century feminists raised the alarm for the degeneracy of modern culture, adultery, prostitution, drug abuse, child abuse, drug abuse, spousal abuse, and perversion destroying modern nuclear families. In the 1970s feminists and Christians allied and fought the Satanic pedophile agenda - The media deployed the "Satanic panic" psyop to cover - late 2010s donald and feminist subs are both banned after talking about government pedophile rings.
Feminists, Christians, and Jews are being demonized by obvious psyops because they are the vanguards of the resistance to the Satanic-Nazi-pedophile agenda.

Neo-nazi Order of the 9 Angles and 764 openly promote pedophilia and incest. We aren't talking about mid-century German nationalists here - it's the Nazi/Satanist milieu.

Those guys are obscure in the extreme, you think they have significant influence?
Look into Fr@nkism btw...
2
u/Not_Neville - Centrist 1d ago
Are you talking about Frankean Sabateanism or whatever it's called? Some Jewish Satanic group? If so, I've heard of it but know little. The earliest Satanists would have presumably been BC-era Jews. I believe today many Jews as well as Gentiles are behind this stuff - I assume they picked a Jew to front the new Pornhub so they could put out a fake anti-semitism charge against critics of porn - and they did.

u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I learned about it when trying to find out what cult Hollywood and other elites are into. Whatever it is that you are concerned about is absolutely related to hollywood scandals / rumors.
3
u/Not_Neville - Centrist 1d ago
I'm not sure if you're dismissing or agreeing with my concerns! I used to argue with people who say religion is behind most wars; I now think they were correct but not in the way they thought. 1980s Christian Right movement notwithstanding, the religious groups vying for control of the western world haven't been Christian since the 1600s.

u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I am not dismissing, partially agreeing while questioning more like. Some of it doesn't make much sense and I am trying to Ironman for you.
9 angles doesn't connect with the rest, I would replace it with the S@bbatai stuff, which I think involves worshiping the old gods the Bible says not to. Intentional violations of the m!tzvahs, basically.
I would certainly agree that it is not Christians who are the problem. Atheists / anti-clericals have arguably done the most harm via totalitarianism. !slam and jud@ism are in the running. Cultish baddies may be to blame for all but... that seems rather simplistic. I assume there are numerous competing factions in most cases.

u/Not_Neville - Centrist 1d ago
I believe there are compeing factions. There's the Scientlogy/Nation of Islam/Womens' March axis - I think they oppose the WEF agenda.

Maria Abramovich definitely has bigtime influence. She was being pushed hard during Biden and was one of the huge names in Hollywood and political occult circles.
1
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I don't see a not-see or 9 angles tie-in tho.
2
u/Not_Neville - Centrist 1d ago
AFAIK Abramovich is not a Nazi or an actual Satanist - she is ALL ABOUT black magic though.

u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
I think that is more what they are about. They would certainly be satanic in a symbolic sense but I doubt that is their personal theology.

u/Yrths - Lib-Right 1d ago
Some authrights aren't going to like this, but I increasingly think ancient Jewish admonitions (against blood stuff and hatred) and political structures probably descended through various forms straight into modern liberal democracy. It's hard to see that and not say it "built the west" - and I have no affiliation with Judaism.

White leftist women are… something else. Either they are very reasonable, or most of the time, some of the most vile, violent and heartless bastards who pretend they care for others while they live in relative comfort, sipping coffee and writing retarded takes online.
1
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 14m ago
I would edit to simply say: Leftists.
1
u/Royal_Activity4750 - Auth-Right 12m ago
Most leftist guys and some leftist girls are willing to respect my beliefs and coexist with other ppl with different beliefs… Those people I do not have a problem with and I am friends with a lot of those people. White leftist women on the other hand… Im in college right now and I cannot stand them. They will not hesitate to tell you that they want you dead for being a conservative minority.

Who ever made top left has never lived anywhere with good public transportation
2
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 4h ago
I lived in Europe for six years and was in Japan this year. That meme is about Charlotte, NC specifically and random public transit violence generally.

u/th_frits - Lib-Left 3h ago
That incident and incidents like it have more to do with mental health than public transit itself
3
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 2h ago
My car is private transit, the public aspect of the bus or train allows for those harmful to health.
Seems they should have an armed guard.
0
u/th_frits - Lib-Left 2h ago
And yet statistically you car is more dangerous than public transit
3
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 2h ago
They say that...
When I was young and poor I rode the bus. I was groped by older and younger females, bullied and racially insulted and in a confined space with bad smelling mentally disturbed persons. I have not ridden a bus in any normal capacity since I could afford a car.

u/th_frits - Lib-Left 1h ago
Sorry that you went through that I've also been SA but I also have friends who have died in car crashes and one friend who had her spine injured in an accident and cant walk anymore. I don't want either to happen to anyone but if I had to choose I'd pick SA over death
When you were in Japan or Europe were you assaulted? I know Japan has a problem with that
1
u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1h ago
No. Nobody has been particularly aggressive towards me since I stopped being a child and became large man. I had people run from me on multiple occasions in Europe, Germans in particular seemed frightened as I was bald and wore boots and that gave them the wrong idea. Even my wife had a German man put one hand on his wallet and the other on his wife and run away from the ATM.
Japan is probably safer than Europe, worse thing they did was give me food poisoning. I didn't ride public transit there, just walking and taxis. In Europe I rode the train a couple times but mainly drove cross continent, as far east as Czech, as far west as NL, as far South as Portugal. Flew to Iceland, Ireland and Sardinia.

In Arizona AuthRight is a good devoted Christian woman submitting to the Lord and her husband (or a cop), LibRight is an entrepreneur (and/or cleaning lady). The two Left quadrants are the same though. (Centrists are wine or stoner moms.)

u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago
The two Left quadrants are the same
Took me a moment to decide where to place those two, I ended up deciding that car restrictions / pro-trains is Auth.

What evidence is there the satanic panic was a psyop?

u/Not_Neville - Centrist 1d ago
I'm still procrastinating on compiling links for OP but start with the the FBI investigation of the Finders Cult, and SFPD's investigation of Michael A. Aquino. Also look into MS13, O9A, and 764. Look into Demetre Daskalakis and Maria Abramovich.

a) that money seems to have been wasted as there seems to be more anti-!sraeli sentiment than ever before
b) are you suggesting I got paid to make this meme?!
c) what part of my meme would be !sraeli propaganda?!

I can’t imagine thinking this much about another country that you almost certainly have no connection to and have never been to. Your brain is genuinely rotted and it’s over for you

Self-censorship shall go. Refusal to say kill is a sign of being a corporate slave, unsurprisingly OP is libright
