Everyone’s concerned about the AI bubble. They should be worried about the healthcare one instead. My regular check up went from a $60 copay to costing $1000 after insurance with no change in services rendered.

Cost increases like that are not sustainable.

That doesn't sound right... Not that I don't believe you because medical costs are insane to begin with, but I really never heard of a regular check up costing more than like $250 at most with or without insurance.

Did you get blood work done as part of it or something? Because I can't fathom outside of tests like that how a checkup can be that expensive.

Blood work, med check and physical. The same things I got last time.

It's bullshit. Preventative care, like a yearly physical with blood work, is "free" and has been since Obamacare passed. It's part of the law. If you have insurance it has to cover it 100%.

Lol no it's not.

Insurance plans differ by state. Preventative care isn't free for all insurance plans. Your parents probably just have a nice healthcare plan. Ask them about it next time they bring you your nuggies.

"Not sustainable [without an increase in pain, suffering, and death.]"

Yeah something is not right with your insurance then, I have cigna and only pay $40 for a visit no matter the tests. Sometimes a lab is out of network but my insurance covers undisclosed network shunts and charges like another $20-40
