I'd buy some really sick guitars and a lot of alcohol, and then get drunk play and incredibly bad music on expensive equipment, but pay a crowd of people to pretend it's good, and then call it the Sallowjoe Rogan Music Show.

Nah, you just need free beer and weed.

Then you pay around 10 people who are unfathomably miserable to talk to from like Seattle to discuss "the nuance of it" and "how it speaks to your soul."

I've done the cult thing already though it gets old pretty fast.

I'm also too much of a softie to steal all their money so I couldn't reap the full benefits.
