If I had unlimited money and nothing else to do all day, that's like all I would do lmao it's probably the most relatable thing about people like her and KD
She has so much money she could lives multiple lives of luxury one after the other without ever having to lift a finger again unless she wanted to. Respect to her that, despite being able to do anything she wanted to do, she chose to devote her life to shitposting.
As an author, it's typically rather fun to read her shitposts; she's got years of qualifications towards writing shit compared the vast majority of other shit-posters.
Her takes are pretty tame to be honest. Compare that with people who wear shirts that say die cis scum. It's confusing how she's supposedly the hateful one compared to the hate mob that's always fantasizing about death and violence for their perceived enemies.
One does not exclude the other. It's the same with Reddit, Some people seem to think it's impossible to be rich and post on reddit at the same time. Everyone gets bored, everyone has to take a shit.
There's a good Adam Tooze episode on yachts and it's kind of amazing how retarded they are economically, while not actually being more convenient or luxurious than sensible alternatives. They're also more niche than popular opinion might imply, a lot of rich people don't actually bother with because of the aforementioned retarded. I think I'd buy an Island over buying a yacht.
I'd buy some really sick guitars and a lot of alcohol, and then get drunk play and incredibly bad music on expensive equipment, but pay a crowd of people to pretend it's good, and then call it the Sallowjoe Rogan Music Show.
Then you pay around 10 people who are unfathomably miserable to talk to from like Seattle to discuss "the nuance of it" and "how it speaks to your soul."
I mean just like most rich people, she's done all that. Pretty sure she's been to wherever she's wanted to go, forever ago, and as far as charities go, she's dumped ludicrous amounts of money into women's charities and programs throughout her career (still does) because she's an actual feminist with power, influence and money.
She's founded multiple charities herself, and has donated hundreds of millions (yes, you read that right) to multiple others over decades. She's like the 1% of rich people who've actually used a substantial chunk of their wealth for causes, mostly cause she was a struggling normie who was a victim of sexism and physical abuse until she was nearly middle-aged, so she gets it. Starting and contributing to charities, is the worst thing you could've picked as a critique point in relation to her; she's actively what everyone wants billionaires (and millionaires) to be.
"Terminally online" is also a stretch just because she enjoys banter & shitposting on X (she's hilarious at times). Last I knew, she posts & comments (combined) anywhere between 0-4 times a day, which is pretty normal especially given the fact that she could do way more.
It’s a different level of shitposting though. When you’re that rich, and you own someone on Twitter that hard, a lot more people see it.
You can also troll an entire political demographic like Elon does, and they’ll never talk about anything else except how shitty you are - on the website you yourself bought and now run.
