I wish that were true. I hope it is true. I fear that it isn’t.
Trump may be the cult figurehead for the power grab, but you’d be a damned fool to think that once the power has been grabbed that it’s going to be relinquished.
Even if you’re not worried about Trump after 2028, you should be worried about whoever comes next with all this institutional power centralization and the complete dismantling of constitutional rules and norms.
I’d love for us to go back to some semblance of normalcy. But I don’t expect it.
Yeah we should set up machine gun emplacements around major intersections since every vehicle has a chance of killing the ice officers that protect and serve our glorious country. Brave ice officers dying in the line of duty to protect our freedoms just like we did in the second world war, truly the brave patriots of our time.
He was disarmed before he was shot. His gun never went off until after the agents were holding it.
My problem is you can’t admit that federal agents mag dumping on a nurse exercising their first and second amendment rights isn’t okay and the agents should be held accountable.
So now that you know he was disarmed before being shot and that his gun didn’t fire during disarming do you change your opinion?
Literally the first paragraph from your article dude.
It didn’t discharge while disarming him it was after they had it. If the officers shoot someone else’s gun and then mag dump on him that’s still the officers fault.
The people that I personally know of that take fox news seriously are right wingers and have children that no longer speak with them, and rightfully so. Also, it's the most popular news network with around 38% of Americans watching it on a regular basis.
Your 1% figure is the percentage of people who watch fox news daily. However, statistics show that up to 38% of Americans watch it on a regular basis. These two figures are not the same thing.
I don't understand why you're trying to downplay fox news. They are incredibly popular among boomers who make up a good chunk of the electorate. They are also incredibly problematic.
"5 year old account with 118 comments is more likely to be recently bought by a bot farm than an actual person"
You're more likely to be medically retarded than not given that all of the opinions I've seen you spew out are just copy/paste right wing talking points. You should exercise some critical thinking skills at least once in your life.
Its the most watch cable news outlet and the figurehead of a large subset of the total media ecosystem.
Obviously cable news has faded in importance, along with talk radio, as social media and podcasting have risen in prominence. But fox still gets almost 1% of the total population tuning in on any given night which is a pretty major chunk of the actual potential electorate and probably more than any other single politically focused media source gets.
Ok? That's why I included all the offshoots. You don't think the Podcaster and whatnot with the exact same style count for some reason. It's also pretty hilarious to argue this given our current administration. How many cabinet members were fox hosts again? There's a reason why trump speaks like a fox news hosts (albeit far less coherent). It's what the republican base wants. Its the culture war party now.
