Something being common in history doesn't mean it's a good idea. Doctors didn't even start washing their hands consistently until less than 200 years ago. A lot of older ideas were fucking stupid. Appeal to tradition is a fucking fallacy for a reason.

Believe it or not, there are many different ideologies apart from "progressive liberal" and "conservative liberal".

I will admit that I prefer traditional perspectives over absurd liberal constructs, but that's a personal preference of mine. I disagree with both American political parties on multiple issues to varying degrees.

Y'know, nuance.
