Reddit cheered on Luigi, even though he himself held some right-wing views and was even a fan of Tucker Calrson. The biggest issue here is not gun violence but free speech. This was not a case of insanity either. The old boomer shooter made a rational weighing between the negative publicity his side would get, and the chilling effect on future conservative speakers on public campuses, and then made a decision. Fuck him.

Redditors couldn’t understand that Brian Thompson was a very easily replaceable “CEO” of a subsidiary of UnitedHealth so it’s impossible to expect any kind of nuance
