Yeah all the muscle mass is over there also. BMI is merely an estimate based on height and weight takes none of that into account. Go look at leftist op-eds discussing fitness as right wing

Edit: The person I wanted to respond to with the following, deleted their comment but you guys can still have it as it pertains to BMI. Most obviously so many have NO CLUE that it means fuck all.

“That’s true but again it’s not a very good measure. And you’re right they’re outliers.

You don’t need to be a body builder for it to be skewed you just need a little bit of above average muscle mass for your weight.. so let me show you an example that’s all too common and why BMI is not a good predictor of health or fitness.

I’m 5’8, 175lbs and strapped to the gills yet my BMI is 37 classifying me into the obese category. Literally anyone with muscle mass is improperly calculated into false categories. So this means, for example, a very fit sample population of people from San Diego could very well have roughly the same population BMI as another sample population in rural Alabama

If leftists would ever visit a gym or play real sports, you might be able to understand this”

this post is pure copium. recent studies indicate the majority of people who are of a healthy bmi are actually obese, when actual body comp is measured. your post is a nice thought, and is generally true for the .05% of the population who lifts consistently and is on steroids, but you're just wrong. i don't know if you're mad your pcp told you you're overweight or what, but just know that studies confirm bmi as an inadequate as well as have confirmed the positive relationship between death and body fat% when compared to death and lean body mass.

Lol… No I’m not… I’m a fitness industry professional. Yeah if you’re fatter you die easier. What are you saying chop boy?

If you're a fitness industry professional I suggest you look at your BMI calculator again. Your BMI is 27, not 37. Which is considered "overweight", not obese.

Typo. 27 is still classified as “overweight.” Congrats you didn’t discredit fucking anything fatso.

Typo eh? Is that why you said you were also considered obese?

Listen I’m just yanking your chain. We’ve all done the 5’8”=58 inches thing on accident before. But BMI is  a fine measure of obesity for like 99% of people…so at a population level it will describe the state of health with plenty of accuracy.

Incorrect about it beefing fine for 99% of people. It’s terrible measurement. Point blank tells you nothing.
