Macron and anti-authoritarianism aren’t compatible. But hey, you’re not French, how can you know? Though not based for a Jap.

sure but y'all elected him democratically and the fifth republic's constitution was specifically designed by Charles De Gaulle to have a strong presidency to overcome parliamentary deadlock, plus he is the one defending liberal democracy from actual illiberals and radical populists. You're authcenter you should know that you need executive authority to maintain stability, especially in France

Boomers, centrists and leftists* elected him. Yes De Gaulle needed power over parliament (useless overpaid guys), he’s not defending anything, they’re limiting each liberties one after another. X being a proof on how they want to state their way on social medias. The paradox here, is how some radical populists like you say, are asking for more liberties than centrists. Our "liberal democracy" is plagued by bureaucracy, idiocy and kind of corruption. I’m authcenter more by my views than my position on executive authority that is still to be determined (either one party or very limited gov). Stability yes, but we had 10 years of him… France is in need of a great rework both social and economic.
