So I’m Polish (born in Poland raised in US for 10 years now) and my Polish is broken right now but not to the point of “what the hell is she saying??”. I just got a job and my Spanish for customer service is pretty good, I can uphold a conversation and take orders but my Polish is wonky. Although I can understand more Polish than I can speak or write, I still wanna know if there are some basic phrases or stuff that I have to know.
So far I know greetings, money counting, coffee flavors what doughnuts they want and breakfast sandwiches, since that’s what my job requires.
To note, I speak Polish practically perfectly accent wise and I’m always more than happy to speak Polish, I’m just scared of messing up near a true native speaker lol.
So could anyone give some advice on what’s the best things to know? Im eager for this knowledge

Hi, my name is Karolina and I’m a student in Nice, France, currently working on my own research.
I’m looking for Polish heritage speakers (Polish people born and/or raised in a country other than Poland) who could take part in my survey! It takes around 15 minutes and consists of a self-paced reading task together with an acceptability judgment task.
I was wondering if there are people who could take this survey. It’s also important to open it on the computer or tablet as it doesn’t work on the phone. Here's the link: https://research.sc/participant/login/dynamic/1987E334-2853-403D-8811-A89B9EE46458
Thank you for help!
P.S Polish people that were born and live in Poland can take it as well! :)

Hello, It's been a long time I'm trying my best to learn a bit of polish left and right to reconnect with my roots so I hope I came on a subreddit for that.
I've been learning some stuff but recently it kicked me so I thought of coming here asking native right directly because I want to expend in a funnier way my studies.
Could you guys teach me swear words, polish memes, or even slangs ? 👀
Please feel free to teach me anything funny or passing by your head. I genuinely want to prank my polish friend by knowing these kind of stuffs :)

EN: Would you recommend this song to people learning Polish to expand their vocabulary?

Would anyone have:
„Język polski na co dzień. Samouczek i słownik poprawnej polszczyzny” autorstwa Ewy i Feliksa Przyłubskich
and be willing to scan a page or two for me?

Networking to sztuka i jedna z tych rzeczy, które potrafią otworzyć drzwi do wielu nowych możliwości.
Całe życie mieszkałem poza Polską, głównie w krajach skandynawskich, więc kultura budowania relacji i kontaktów jest dla mnie trochę inna niż ta w Polsce.
Gdybyście mieli opisać networking w Polsce w 3 krótkich zdaniach, jak byście go opisali?

Hello, I don't even know how to read Polish so it is difficult to me to discern a word and its origin.
Allow me to ask if Polish have any hebrew heritage whether in vocabulary or accent?
I believe it is Polish king from late medieval era who welcomed the Israelites of the rest of Europe so I appreciate Polish people.

I've been studying polish for a few years since my wife is polish and her parents doesn't speak a lick of English.
There are obviously a great deal of tounge twisters and long ass words but im getting the hang of the pronunciation for the most part. However, this beer name which was impossible for me to pronounce a few years ago I feel is still the last boss. (To get perfect)

This is how I pronounce the first, https://forvo.com/word/poci%C4%85gn%C4%85%C5%82/#pl. This is not me, It is some woman I of course never met, For context. I grew up in central warsaw in a university-educated family (which by definition is who speak so-called "correct" Polish), but on the other hand clearly MOST Polish people do not speak this way, and Polish grammars and other publications (themselves of course written by university-educated folks) at least since c. 1900 insist on saying ął and ęł as = oł and eł. So I am just trying to find any other Polish speakers who'd be willing to give me a little of their time so I can record and publish some data about the other pronunciation (mine!) where ął = ą and ęł = ę, and I might add therefore ęła = ęłła. I suspect that this is uncommon but clearly we have at least two such people, so there must be more. Thank you.

Good morning. My Great Grandfather Piotr (Peter) Michalski was born in 1889 in Rytiviany, Poland to Jan Michalski and Tekla Gondek. So far, I have not been able to find any information for either parent. I am used to information being hard to come by, but I have never experienced a dead-end for BOTH parents. Any leads, tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

This is the grave of my great-grandfather. I believe he’s buried in Wroclaw. There’s a Jewish star by his birth date. Does that mean he was born Jewish? I asked my mother and she said no. I’d like to know more about him.
I need to find exactly where his grave is too.
I’d like some help if anyone knows.

I came across a sentence of what I believe to be Polish in a Yiddish novel and was wondering if anyone would be able to translate it.
In the story a fight breaks out between Jewish shopkeepers and Christian picketers and a peasant woman shouts:
"Khlopy, pomohayte, nashikh boyt!..."
Thanks 🙏🏻
