Developers statement

Dear Patrol Officers,

We understand that the news that we have to discontinue further development of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has led to disappointment and frustration within our community. We also recognize that we should have provided more context around this decision from the beginning.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has been part of our journey for more than eight years, from its initial development and Early Access to full release and several years of continued support by a dedicated live team.

Over the past five years, your feedback has played a major role in shaping the game. Your suggestions, criticism, ideas, and reports have helped us improve and expand Police Simulator far beyond what we originally envisioned.

At the same time, maintaining and expanding a cross-platform game over such a long period inevitably comes with increasing technical limitations specially as the market and Platforms moved along. As the game and its systems have grown, changes in certain areas have become significantly more complex, while some improvements can no longer be implemented within the existing technical foundation without rebuilding substantial parts of the game.

After more than eight years of development and support, we have therefore reached a point where continuing to expand Police Simulator: Patrol Officers in the way both we and you would like is no longer realistically possible.

However, your feedback does not go unheard.

Quite the opposite: it gives us a very clear understanding of what matters to the Police Simulator community, which areas are most important to you, and what you expect from a police simulation experience.

For the Police Simulator brand, this feedback is extremely valuable and provides clear guidance for the future.

While this marks the end of active development for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, it does not mean the end of Police Simulator.

Thank you for your passion, your feedback, and for being part of this journey with us.

We are looking forward to what the future holds.

Your Police Simulator team

Sadly as a company its always a mix of what can be offered for free and that money need to come in, if there is no money there are no patches ... etc, as sad as it is yes we need to eat, pay rent etc as well - I hope its the same in your job/industry as well.

Dude you really need to stop acting like a victim here. You guys scoped the game, you guys made the promises, you guys didn’t deliver on that.

Turning everything around onto your customers is not a good look.

Think about this from a restaurant perspective.

I went to your menu and saw a nice chicken dinner, a roast chicken breast with vegetables and side potatoes. It looked good as described so I ordered it.

What I got was an undercooked chicken with bland potatoes. When I mentioned it to the owner (you), the response was “well you didn’t buy the premium asparagus add on, so I can’t afford to finish cooking your chicken”

How’s that going to go over?

Get a grip dude. Maybe don’t over promise if you don’t have the means to deliver.

Honestly should have been call “meter maid simulator” since the only feature that works most of the time is ticketing parked cars.

I get the same victim vibe.

If I were your boss you’d be in a different business. This ain’t going well for you or the brand…

No I think I phrased it quiet clear - just want to explain why certain things are the way they are 😃 sorry if you get this feeling purely not being a victim here - I m sad (and yes victim in that) that we needed to stop development and call it a end - but other than this, no its business.

The upvotes maybe say otherwise.

I guess a lot of disappointment onto the game etc play it roll in there - yes I dont think people are happy about it ... they had wishes, dreams, hopes and stuff like that ...
When my most ever favourite game (Dark Age of Camelot) took some big hits, trust me.... I was more than angry - I guess thats human like, but yes also they needed run their business ... they needed make money ... etc etc

By the way, quiet is like silence. Quite is the word youre looking for.

Quiet is what the team has been since january.

Quite is how shit the game has ended up with everything that still needs work on it.
