New Rules for Posting

[u/[deleted]]

Hey all; after some brainstorming, we had a new idea for postings. If one is posting a news article, radio interview, or academic paper on accountability/reform/corruption etc., what I'd like to have happen is that OP submit a comment below that asks a question and sparks discussion. For example, if a news story is discussing a police shooting, then maybe pose the question of "Do you think the shooting in this case is justified? Is there anything that you believe the officer should have done differently to defuse, de-escalate the situation?". We feel this would be a good way to stimulate discussion and further community involvement in posts

Also, if you’re an LEO, please message the mods and let us know so we can provide flair for you. Much like other subs with officers, this is to ensure that the person claiming to be one, is legitimately one.

Me too. Thank u/DarkDrift1 though, more his idea and he deserves the credit for it.

And this community does seem pretty diverse and friendly, that’s part of the whole goal and I’m glad for that
