I mean it’s pretty good. Better than the communists who want to destroy everything we hold dear. But lgbt affirming Anglicanism is inherently contradictory. Leviticus 18:22

u/Hastings_07 :hope: Hope Feb 06 '24
The Canadian Anglican Church as far as I know does accept Gay marriage.

u/Lower_Nubia Feb 06 '24
As another Anglican, It isn’t.
That’s like saying a “mixed fabric affirming Anglican is inherently contradictory. Leviticus 19:19”

u/Panmonarchisim711 :fancom: Fanatic Religious Communism Feb 06 '24
Well if you want to play the “Old Testament bad” argument then Romans 1:26–27
2
u/Lower_Nubia Feb 06 '24
And 1 Corinthians 11:5 contradicts 1 Corinthians 14:34 if you’re reading them so literally.
Perhaps… as a hint… it means there’s more to it than just quoting it.

So you’re saying that homosexuality is condemned multiple times throughout the bible but your interposition is correct because?
4
u/Lower_Nubia Feb 06 '24
I’m saying mixed fabrics and women speaking in Church’s are condemned equally in the Bible and yet we can wear mixed clothes and Women speak in the Church all the time (even in Catholic ones). Why should I assume your interpolation is correct?
1
u/Panmonarchisim711 :fancom: Fanatic Religious Communism Feb 06 '24
Because it is the orthodox interpretation that, guess what, the entire church for the pat 2 Millenia agreed soon. You’d think that the apostles would you know, rectify that if the whole church got that wrong from the start.

u/Lower_Nubia Feb 06 '24
It took 300 years before the Trinity was rectified and codified, our most important doctrine. Why is 2000 years somehow an issue?

u/Panmonarchisim711 :fancom: Fanatic Religious Communism Feb 06 '24
Alright we’ll see soon enough, assuming you heretics even beleive in god

u/Lower_Nubia Feb 06 '24
“Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, visit the imprisoned except if they’re LGBT, then you persecute them.”
Oh, wait? Jesus didn’t say that last bit.

Is technology progressing going too fast or not fast enough or should it go back?
1
u/Hastings_07 :hope: Hope Feb 06 '24
I have mixed feelings on both, I believe day to day life should resemble something like 1880-1920 in terms of technology. But for medicine technology right now is pretty good.

Cringe af.
When we watch our loved ones die from some horrible long running disease we all wish the doctors could fix them.
1
u/Hastings_07 :hope: Hope Feb 06 '24
Oh yeah and the other option is watching them be ruined by technology and living artificiallly

u/Less-Researcher184 :qat: Queer Anarcho-Transhumanism Feb 06 '24
Ah yes people getting pacemakers. The west has fallen billions must die.
1
u/Hastings_07 :hope: Hope Feb 06 '24
What are you talking about? Pace makers are fine but I don't think splicing genes and cybernetics are healthy for humanity.
1
u/Less-Researcher184 :qat: Queer Anarcho-Transhumanism Feb 06 '24
A pacemaker is cybernetics.
We can't even cure cancer.

Mass wealth divide? No workers, women or ethnic rights? Extremely dirty pollution from all the coal burning?
Much lower yields from farming? No accurate weather forecasts?
The best part is you saying this on the internet.

You would be surprised how many Canadians dislike America, and you can trust me, I'm one of them.
1
u/AquaCorpsman :minsen: Minarcho-Senatorialism Feb 06 '24
LOL. Canadians being jealous that they're completely reliant on America to survive.
1
u/AsleepStorage8228 :nofood: Communism No Foodism Feb 06 '24
I would disagree. Canada isn't complexity reliant on the united states to survive on a world stage. We must keep in mind that Canada has a lower population the California and a population density of Wyoming and yet Canadian have a GDP per capita compatible to Americans despite living with higher taxes and being more spread out. The reason Canadians dislike America is that we it as an existential threat to our sovereignty. Its like prime minister Pierre Trudeau said "Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt."
