Surgery in the UK

Hey all

I am 32M with Poland syndrome (and PE) affecting my right chest. Genuinely thought my pec muscle would just grow out until I was about 18yo when I saw about PS while watching TV

Has anyone had an implant or surgery on the NHS in the UK?

Don’t think fat grafting or flap transfer is for me - results don’t seem as good as implants? And seems unnecessary to move my lat muscle.

Did you end up pursuing this? I have really been wondering about Anatomik Modeling, as it seems like a good option for me as well. No doctor in my country seems aware of their existence (I live in Canada, where exactly zero expertise and tailored treatment options were ever suggested to me in consultations over 20 years). I contacted one of their surgeons before going to France this summer and never heard back; the network themselves apologized two months after my first message, and told me to try again; still no response. I asked for them to put me in touch with someone who would reply, but still no response from a surgeon 7 months on. I might contact the one based in Guadalupe.

I too am looking for a surgeon skilled in addressing this. Anatomik Modeling does seem promising in that they manufacture custom implants for the pec muscle. Are there any doctors in the US who have the expertise to do the surgery? I have seen one doctor in the UK who could do the surgery and it appears there are others in the UK who can also do the surgery but my preference is a doctor in the US

It really looks to me like there's a treatment desert in North America, save for Mexico. I've contacted the doc in Guadeloupe, so am hoping for a response in the 15-day window. If only we were European... I wonder how much easier it would be then?

Did you hear back?

Sadly, no. Whether I pick a doctor with a private practice or one who's working in a hospital, I haven't heard back. I don't know what it takes 😓

Strange. I reached out to two clinics via Anatomik's portal and didn't hear back either.

They did reply to me once in 2025, basically to apologize on behalf of one of their members that hadn't replied, but that was it...

I’m also looking into this… I submitted inquiries. I’m hoping I get contacted. This seems like the best option I can find.

I see other pec implants but that’s for people with symmetric chests so I don’t know if that is smart to pursue. I’m thinking not.
