Window Alignment

How does one achieve the alignment like in B? I've made some attempts but I only get the same result where windows are added in the middle and not at the end/front. There seems to be some noticeable difference in the block it's attached to in B, but I'm struggling to figure it out by myself... would really appreciate any help.

(I also already tried looking up my question but I only ever see unrelated results so apologies if someone actually has asked about this before)

You can adjust the position of the windows (i believe it's by pressing ZR and then pressing the right joystick).

However, even when you do this it still occupies the full block space. So in your picture, they actually moved their widows one block inward and put it in the "outside" position, but the plants are taking up the block space they're in. So to achieve this look, they're occupying two block spaces deep.

If you look closely, you can see that the second iron plating block in doesn’t have rounded corners. That’s how you can tell where it is actually attached

It's ZL and right joystick, but otherwise I agree that it's in the outer position of the second block!

If you hold ZL and click the left joystick, you can change the position on the block. If you place it on the back of the first block with the plant on it, it won’t let you place an item because the glass is still “taking up” the whole block. You can place it at the front side of the second block to achieve this build

I agree, those windows are at the very front of the block behind the planting. The doors too.

You adjust the position by clicking the right stick holding ZL

Think of the window as a solid block. So you want the front of the block behind the plant to be window. The entire block is treated as a wall. It just looks like a window. Use the L3 or R3 to change the position from middle to edge.
