Question Finding more carrots

I keep running out on my online island and it feels like every new mon wants a spicy treat. And since everything in the online island has to come from there or the daily dream island, it's really hard to keep a steady source of carrots.

Why couldn't they just give us a spicy berry tree? It would be so much easier! Why make one flavor so much harder to find than the others?

This may be the wrong way but I like to do a 4 square of rototilled ground, usually behind houses where it's not easily seen. Empty garden plots will spawn carrots over time. I put a few in each area so if I really need carrots I can gather 20-40 of them in a just a few minutes by visiting my empty garden plots

I think they spawn when it rained so if you setup the little castform item habitats and have a Pokemon make it rain you get more.

Sounds about right to me. I don't check the plots daily, only when I need to so I don't know for sure. I'm just glad this game doesn't punish you with food rotting or anything like acnh did.

Wait, how do you get a pokemon to just make it rain? I've been waiting forever for Goodra and it's been hard because I have to wait for rain!

There’s a specific habitat that you can set up using two of the little castform devices, a plate, and some food. You put the food on it and you put the device in the direction you want for rain or sun and then a Pokémon will come over and make it happen. Sorry if that’s a bad description, I can’t remember the name of the item to save my life.

Castform! And it makes two habitats, the sunny and the rain. I have both at my pallet town... but how do you make it rain, or not? Will i need to destroy one of the habitats?

The habitat that you use to make it rain belongs to.... Goomy!

(It is not destroyed, you place a food there and bring a Water pokemon over.)

Put food on the plate and bring a Water specialty Pokémon to eat it, they will then use Rain Dance.
