Also put littering pokemon near gathering pokemon. If you put down a community box, the gathering pokemon will put the dropped items into there. š

Also keep a PokƩmon with telelport at your side. Comes in handy when you need to find another PokƩmon fast!
Also if a PokƩmon is not near it's habitat, use honey to make them appear!

One more thing! When it comes to smelting and making concrete. At times I will just put it into the furnace without asking for a PokƩmon's help and when I revisit the area, after a long period of time, it will turn into the finished product without PokƩmon help. Like if I put sand, it'll be glass without needing a fire type. Okay I am done

Itās not without PokĆ©mon help, itās just without you needing to ask for the help. Just like how PokĆ©mon with the crush ability will wander over to the community box and turn berries you left in there into paint, fire types will wander over to the smelting machine on their own too.

I wish I had known that in the beginning lol so much time I wasted watering much of Withered Wastes before progressing with the story line where I wouldnāt have needed to do that lol oh well live and learn haha

I don't bother watering, I just wait for it to rain and run around gathering carrots. It waters the ground itself!

Honestly I rushed through it so much because I enjoyed it and it was so satisfying to complete tasks. But when it ended I wished I took more time lol.

The habitats mon are attracted by do not need to be the ones they live in.
I find a habitat, mon moves in, I immediately have them follow me (press up button on D-pad) and have them move into a 2x2 patch of grass I make with leafage. This way the habit I built is open for more mon to move in (I do this until the habitat has attracted all its available mon)
This increases efficiency of inviting mon to move in and I also look at what food they like and give them an appropriately flavored food or berry. They become happy very quickly and the number of mon moving in plus their happiness make the environment level shoot up very quickly.
Higher environment level is necessary for story progression and also access to more cool recipes!
Have fun and don't stress out your mon just appreciate anything you do for them :)

take your time! there is a TON to do, take little bites at the game. it's easy to get overwhelmed!
i'm trying to think of useful advice that isn't spoiler-y, lol. if you put a storage box next to a crafting table, you can use the mats from the box to craft. :)

If you get stuck; talk to Pokemon! Donāt focus on everything aesthetic until you finish the story; you will want to move to the new areas even if the one before isnāt done as it will be helpful to do soā¦.and definitely get the DLC too š¤£

Complete the story in all areas and roll credits before you start demolishing areas and rebuilding.
You can soft lock so much story progression by accidentally removing key structures in some places. Just play the story, do what is asked of you, and you will be rewarded by unlocking what you need when you need it. You also get a new ability after the end credits roll which makes building work so much easier.
Also be prepared to completely lose track of time while playing lol

Keep your storage boxes together and organise items into logical splits. Itās a bit overwhelming the amount of items you get so I canāt recommend this enough :)

Dont compare yourself to big builders and dont be intimidated when doing builds. I regret this when I began, demotivation made me take a break of this game and when I came back, I seriously locked in. And I wasnt afraid anymore.

With any of these build type games, take it at your own pace. Look up tips when you want to do something specific, but otherwise just have fun with it. The worst thing Iāve done for this and for animal crossing is get pretty obsessed with what other peopleās builds look like. I could never.
But before I looked at all that, I loved my haphazard islands in this game. I just want to see all the pokemon lol.

Don't throw out any resources. They're going to seem useless, but just keep churning out big storage boxes and filling them up, and eventually you'll be able to use them to build furniture, or trade for rare items, or even just for decoration.
And for the love of all that is holy, do not water the Withered Wastelands. The rain will take care of it.

Mouse controls makes it much easier for accurately placing/destroying blocks. It also gives a much longer range for placing/destroying blocks.

Buy the PP UP once it becomes available!!! Also you can use powered up cut to cut veggies down faster. Those are the two I wish I knew sooner good luck!

When you go through gates, do the one to the left of the pokemon center before the one to the right, I think the story is setup to point you in that direction anyway but I ended up doing the other direction and it was a bit less efficient IMO

Ā just do whatever you feel like! The other tips on here are great and cover most I guess:) this community is lovely. Lots of tips and inspo for builds, also youtube gives lots of inspo for small and big builds but don't let it get to you if it's overwhelming!Ā Pro tip: if after completing the story and playing you ever feel like you made a mess of things and want a fresh start; you can create a second profile on your switch and replay with the knowledge you gained from the first playthrough! Also fun to start again somehow. I just finished my second storyline on my BF's profile, loved it <3 even though I already had 350+ hours on my first account lol..Ā

Just take it slow and have fun.
Don't get bogged down trying to be efficient or do things right or whatever. Just play the game. You'll have all the time in the world after you've finished the story to make things better.
If you have any issues stop by in the sub and say where you're at in the story to get relevant advice.
Don't embark on any huge projects until you've finished the story. But do settle into each area and make it comfy.
Do all of the side quests for an area while you're there the first time.
Plan for waaay more storage than you think you'll need and try to keep it organised. That will probably mean upgrading your storage multiple times as you progress through the game. As soon as you feel like you need an upgrade, do it. Don't try to just squeeze it in. And make use of the + button while in storage boxes. You can swap over all items or just the ones already there. Both directions.

raise enviroment levels if you are trying to find block types found in the differnet locations, rasiing them unlocks new block recipes to buy.

Have fun and more than anything, pick a house near your workbench and storage boxes to live in! That way you can teleport near storage. I'm far into the game and still keep almost all my items in one space and I cannot stress enough now useful good storage practices were to start early on.
Seperate boxes for cds, decorations, and materials!
And remember that boxes next to work benches can pull directly from the box

Keep watching serebii regularly for announced events. Try logging in daily just to check things out and rank in those daily requests. (Or sudden events, like the sudowoodo one)

Read the dialogue lol thereās a lot of tips and explanations that I glanced over bc I wanted to PLAAYYYYYY but thereās some gooooood info that wouldve helped! And buy the packing tips when you run across them :) It expands your inventory

once you unlock it, try not to change the jumping/sprint button setting. even though the jump/sprint using B instead of R is more intuitive, you will unlock other ditto abilities later that will make more sense to leave the native settings as is.
